Invision Community overview

What is Invision Community?

Invision Community is a cloud-based software designed to help businesses of all sizes create, launch and manage communities, forums, and stores, enabling members to ask questions, sell items, and collaborate on a unified portal. The platform enables organizations to add custom forums, promote trending topics, handle access to private or public forums, edit content using a WYSIWYG editor, and receive alerts for new topics or replies.

Invision Community allows enterprises to design personalized storefronts to sell merchandise and subscriptions, collect donations, post advertisements, track pending, paid, or canceled orders, and accept payments using 2checkout, Stripe, and PayPal payment systems. Users can also build a digital marketplace to offer digital files, rate and review items, promote files on social media channels, sort listings, and store revision history for future reference.

Invision Community lets marketing professionals create landing pages using predefine blocks or custom codes in a drag-and-drop interface and upload, organize, delete, and store assets using a media manager. Other features include member profiles, content management, customizable themes, referral and reviews management, leaderboard, mentions, and more.

Cons
“But not until a senior IPS developer was engaged the IPS Support blame game stopped. Within two weeks of testing and analysis, the error was found - in the IPS environment (the service worker).”

“But they almost always manage to be not compatible with plugins that I had installed. If you get let's say 4.3.x, then your plugins from 4.2.x would crash.”

“Quite the contrary, during three frustrating months we did hundreds of user registration tests on all kinds of hardware, three different browsers, and two separate networks.”
