Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

WavePad overview
What is WavePad?
WavePad is an on-premise audio editing software designed to help music producers edit audio and music files using Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. The application enables users to record, cut, copy, delete, and paste parts of audio files and add echo, noise reduction, amplification, reverb, reverse, and other effects via a unified portal.
WavePad lets musicians modify audio and music files in various formats including M4A, AAC, OGG, MP3, WAV, VOX, GSM, WMA, AU, FLAC, MID, real audio, and AMR. It offers a host of features such as normalization, equalizer, multiple sample rates, sound effects library, auto-trimming, file compression, spectral analysis, speech synthesis, voice changer, and more. Music composers can also apply effects or convert multiple files using batch processing functionality and scrub, search, and bookmark audios to streamline editing operations.
WavePad includes an audio restoration feature, which lets users remove noises and click pops from music. It also supports integration with DirectX, Virtual Studio Technology DLL plugin, and MixPad multitrack recording software.
