Acrobat's ability to edit text and images within PDF documents is an awesome feature. It's great that I can sign documents and do all these operations from a single software program. You can correct errors or update files without rewriting them using Adobe Acrobat. Its annotation tools allow you to highlight, underline, and add comments to documents. My favorite feature is I can sign documents from my phone application when I don't have access to a computer.

Their application is top quality compared to its competitors. However, it sometimes makes my computer slow, and the tool to prepare forms could be more user-friendly.

While it is a great product, it is expensive compared to other products I have looked into

For editing and viewing PDFs, Adobe Acrobat has the competition beat. We get this app as a part of our Creative Cloud package and it allows me to prepare a PDF for signing, send a PDF and track it, edit a PDF, even edit / design whitepapers, eBooks and case studies through their software. We can add comments and organize pages, even enhance scans from our copier. While we don't use it every day, if there's a PDF issue we need to solve, Acrobat DC always comes in handy.

Frankly, I don't have any complaints. I personally haven't dealt or needed support using this application.

It is the most frequently used and default pdf software in my pc. I have used and is being using Adobe Acrobat mainly for pdf reading and occasionally to edit and create PDFs.Adobe Acrobat has a user-friendly interface, even a person without much technical knowledge could easily understand and make use of it. Even though Adobe Acrobat is a reliable application, it often crashes when I use it along with other application running in background. It sometimes doesn't work as efficiently when there are multiple instances of it running concurrently, for this reason I often have to try other PDF readers.

I use the free version of Lumin to edit documents and send them off to be signed. For that, it works pretty well.

It's very slow on start up and the "Sync to Drive" doesn't always sync all my changes after I've made edits the document.

Lumin's integration with Google Drive is a nice option.

The paid version of Lumin PDF is extremely limited. It does not nearly have the capabilities of Adobe Acrobat. An irritating "feature" of Lumin PDF is that document management happens through the Lumin PDF website or app only. If you delete your account you lose access to all your Lumin PDF documents. OCR is nonexistent. Text editing is limited and clunky. Copy/Cut and Paste is awkward and doesn't work between pages. Text boxes will cut off edits. Rearranging Text blocks is limited and there are many places on the page where a text block cannot be placed, even though it looks blank. Background images, real or imagined by Lumin PDF, are static and cannot be changed or deleted. Page arranging is slow to respond. Merging PDFs is clunky. Converting PDFs is inaccurate.

I did a free trial of Lumin PDF to see if it would be a good tool for collaborative PDF editing of a magazine in which multiple users review simultaneously. Pros are that it was similar to Adobe Acrobat and fairly easy to navigate, just some differences that would take getting used to. If the PDF you upload has existing edits from Adobe, they will show up in the "notes" area.

Unfortunately, this won't work for our team because you cannot replace text or upload files as an attachment to the PDF (i.e. a new photo for the designer to implement in the layout). While you can share the PDF with anyone, they have to sign in to do any editing or commenting.

At first I was a little skeptical because I didn’t know how to us Adobe as well, but Lumin now is a really great software. A lot easier than Adobe and if you need help finding something the software helps you.

It is more user friendly and fast to use than Adobe. Even the free version does most of what I need for my job.

It would be great to have more options available in the free version, but overall it is a great affordable software if you do have to pay.

Easy to use and retrieve saved PDF 's. Can be used for e-ink signatures to save plenty of paper

Can be limited without internet access. Adobe does allow some editing and filling with preselected forms. This can be a good alternative

An excellent alternative to Adobe for the editing of pdf documents. Fantastic that it can open directly in Google Drive.

The ability to edit pdfs and save on your desktop. I don't have adobe pdf so this was a great way to edit and sign the documents I needed to.

I'm not sure I can think of any cons for this product.

I only use for signing the PDFs and keep them in drive, in this way I don't have to download an sign in adobe reader, I use less of my PC space and optimize work.

I don't see the history of edition (maybe I don't know how) but it's not a big deal

The best part of Lumin is how easily it integrates with Google, so you can open, edit, and sign docs directly from your Drive which then autosave.

For me, at times it could be a bit slow-loading. Also, the price point... as a freelancer who only needs to sign or edit the occasional document, 20 euros a month seems a bit steep but that's the lowest level that gives you editing access. Also when you click to write text, the box where you start writing is a bit out of line... you can move it after writing but it's just a bit fiddly. So the UX could be improved.

I use Lumin for quick, Google-suite shared files within my organization. For larger scale projects like public e-sign templates, our team uses a paid version of Adobe. I find that the quick access and connection to Google Drive is a plus for Lumin.

sometimes opening a file can be buggy and the free features are quite limited.

Lumin PDF allows for ease of adding dates, signatures etc. to PDFs. It's fantastic that it connects with Google Drive, allowing for easy and safe storage of documents. I choose not to print these documents, and instead use Lumin to complete any editing to PDFs required. Love this product so much and I've already got friends onto it! If I used it more regularly, I would purchase the paid version as there's so much more available, and it's a much better price than the adobe alternative.

For limited use, it's not cost effective.
