Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

BooksNav overview
What is BooksNav?
The problem BooksNav solves
Every month-end, the same routine. Export one report from QuickBooks. Export a second. Stitch them together in Excel, because QuickBooks won't show them side by side.
QuickBooks Online reports show one object at a time. Invoices, or the payments against them - not both. Expenses, or the classes they hit - not both. Anything that spans two of them has to be joined by hand. And when you've finally built the export you needed, there's no way to save it. Next month, you build it again.
What BooksNav does
BooksNav is a query layer for QuickBooks Online. Build a query visually across your QuickBooks data - filter, sort, choose columns, group across entities - then save it. Run it again next close in one click, or hand it to someone else on your team.
Results come back as flat, filterable rows. Not collapsed outlines that break your pivot table. Export to Excel or CSV, or point a spreadsheet directly at a live BooksNav URL using IMPORTDATA in Google Sheets or Power Query in Excel - no formulas to maintain, no connector to babysit.
Pivot reports summarize by customer, vendor, class, or month with SUM, COUNT, and AVG, and the structure survives the export intact.
Your whole team, one subscription
Connect your QuickBooks company once. Your owner or admin authorizes the connection a single time - after that, add your controller, your AP clerk, your outside accountant. Users are included, not billed per seat.
One QuickBooks company per subscription.
Remittance advice
QuickBooks Online has no native remittance advice. Intuit's own support staff confirm it, and the workaround they recommend is running two reports and merging them in Excel.
BooksNav generates remittance advice as PDF or XLSX for both customer and vendor payments, with your company branding and frozen headers. One document, ready to send.
Security and access
BooksNav reads your QuickBooks data. It never writes to it - nothing in BooksNav can change your books.
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256-GCM. Each company's data is isolated at the database level. BooksNav connects through Intuit's official OAuth flow and holds no QuickBooks credentials.
Who it's for
In-house controllers, senior bookkeepers, and finance managers at transaction-heavy businesses on QuickBooks Online, particularly those making heavy use of classes, items, and jobs. One QuickBooks company per subscription.
