Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Callbook overview
What is Callbook?
Callbook is a 24/7 AI phone receptionist built for home-service businesses — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, garage door, handyman, roofing, cleaning, and more. It answers every call, including after-hours and overflow, holds the whole conversation in English or Spanish (whichever the caller uses), and books the appointment while the caller is still on the line.
How it works:
Keep your existing business number and forward calls to Callbook — all calls or just the ones you miss. The AI greets callers with your business name, answers questions about your services, checks your real availability, and books the job into your schedule with conflict checking. Emergency calls (no heat, burst pipe, sparking panel) are triaged by urgency. Missed calls get an automatic text-back so the lead doesn't go cold, and every booked customer receives an SMS confirmation with a secure link to review and correct their own contact details.
Built around the job, not just the call:
When the AI books a job, Callbook opens a draft quote using your own service pricing and terms. When you mark the job complete, a draft invoice is raised from the quote. Nothing is ever sent without your review — the drafts are simply waiting in your dashboard instead of depending on you to remember them.
Dashboard and records:
Every call comes with a transcript, recording, summary, and outcome. Jobs, customers, estimates, invoices, review requests, and follow-up callbacks live in one place, with per-industry call handling tuned for 19 home-service trades.
Integrations and API:
Google Calendar and Microsoft calendar sync push booked jobs to the calendar you already use; QuickBooks integration connects your books. A public REST API and signed webhooks (call completed, call missed, appointment created, lead captured) let you connect Callbook to the rest of your stack.
Pricing:
SMS-only plans from $19.99/month; AI voice receptionist plans from $79/month including 250 minutes. No long-term contract.
