chimping.io - 2026 Pricing, Features, Reviews & Alternatives

chimping.io is a cloud-based video review and master-file delivery tool built for freelance and independent filmmakers, including solo producers, short and medium-length film creators, and episodic and documentary filmmakers. The platform consolidates the full post-production file workflow into a single flat-rate subscription, replacing standalone review tools, per-GB transfer services, folder-share utilities, and cloud backup solutions. Clients and collaborators require no account to review footage, leave frame-accurate timecoded comments, approve cuts, or download files.

Core capabilities span the entire post-production pipeline. Dailies are uploaded via a native Mac desktop app using parallel-chunk transfers with auto-resume on dropped connections, preserving folder structure end-to-end. Frame-accurate timecoded video review links can be shared with clients for comment and approval without requiring account creation. DaVinci Resolve users can import client review comments directly as timeline markers via a companion Resolve app. Mid-project handoffs to colorists and sound designers are handled through Send-Ship transient links that expire after seven days. Inbound receive links allow collaborators to upload folders back without an account, with folder hierarchy preserved on download. Final master files are delivered via permanent, password-protected delivery links with no expiry and support for nested folder structures. No per-file size cap applies, and all paid plans include unlimited recipient downloads with no per-GB charges.

chimping.io operates on flexible month-to-month plans with no annual contracts. Tier upgrades are prorated, allowing teams to scale storage and bandwidth up during heavy production months and back down afterward. The platform targets colorists, sound designers, and DITs alongside filmmakers, addressing the collaborative handoff points that define professional post-production workflows.
