CommsPliant overview

What is CommsPliant?

CommsPliant is a cloud-based, web-based controlled workspace for managing regulated customer communications, including emails, CRM PDFs, letters, and document templates. Designed for financial services, pensions, fintech, consumer credit, and other regulated industries, it centralises approved communication content outside the codebase, removing engineering teams from routine wording changes. Approval workflows, version control, and permanent audit logs give compliance, legal, risk, and business teams structured control over every change before it reaches customers. API rendering allows existing systems built on PHP, Python, Java, Go, or any other stack to pull approved content with a single integration, and approved updates go live instantly without code changes or redeployment.

CommsPliant supports role-based access for business, compliance, and engineering teams, ensuring each group operates within defined permissions. Structured review and sign-off workflows route wording changes through defined approvers, with automated reminder emails reducing approval bottlenecks. Every change, review, and approval is recorded in a permanent audit log, allowing immediate response to regulator or auditor requests about wording in use on a specific date. The Evidence Vault links each generated letter to the approved template version and generation time, storing a cryptographic hash of the output by default. Password-protected PDF generation is supported, with passwords set manually or dynamically at the point of generation.

Version control within CommsPliant tracks every change, supports side-by-side version comparison, and allows restoration of any previously approved wording. A single source of truth replaces fragmented wording held across codebases, CRM templates, and shared drives. HTML template editing and upload are currently supported, with a drag-and-drop editor in development. No on-premises deployment option is available; the platform operates entirely as a cloud-based, web-accessible workspace with API integration for existing systems.
