Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

CostLoop overview
What is CostLoop?
CostLoop is a subscription management and SaaS cost tracking application designed for small businesses, freelancers, startups, agencies, and remote teams with one to fifty employees. The platform provides a centralized system for monitoring recurring software expenses, renewal dates, license allocations, cancellation processes, and related documents without requiring bank account connections or enterprise procurement infrastructure. CostLoop addresses the challenge of subscription sprawl in small organizations where software tools accumulate across multiple team members, leading to forgotten renewals, unused seats, and scattered invoices. The application serves businesses that have outgrown manual spreadsheet tracking but do not require the complexity of enterprise SaaS management platforms.
The platform’s core functionality centers on manual subscription entry where users input recurring tool information including subscription name, cost, billing cycle, renewal date, category, and assigned owner. The dashboard calculates monthly spend totals and annual forecasts and presents budget utilization through a visual overview. Renewal reminders are sent via email before each subscription date to enable review, cancellation, or renegotiation prior to payment. A health score feature analyzes the subscription portfolio to identify unused seats, duplicate tool purchases, and trial subscriptions approaching automatic conversion. Cancellation URLs can be stored within each subscription record to eliminate the need for manual searches. Document storage allows attachment of invoices, contracts, receipts, and vendor agreements to individual subscription entries for consolidated access.
The application employs a calendar view to display upcoming renewals for improved temporal visibility. It supports multiple currencies and offers interface localization in English, Spanish, German, French, Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish. All subscription data can be exported in CSV format to ensure portability and data ownership. The manual-first design intentionally excludes automated discovery via single sign-on scanning, inbox scraping, or financial account synchronization to prioritize privacy and control. CostLoop does not integrate with corporate card systems, expense platforms, approval workflows, or accounting software to maintain its focus on manual tracking and user governance.
CostLoop is operated by Antevski ENK in Oslo, Norway, and is subject to Norwegian and European Union regulations. The platform maintains compliance with major international privacy standards including the general data protection regulation, the UK data protection regulation, the Swiss federal act on data protection, and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. Technical infrastructure leverages Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for authentication and data storage, and Resend for email delivery with a published subprocessor list for transparency. Data encryption is applied to secure transactions and stored records. Users can delete their account and associated data at any time through self-service settings. Cookie usage is limited to essential functionality with no third-party advertising trackers.
