Dibo overview

What is Dibo?

Dibo is a daily log and shift handover application for residential and semi-residential care facilities: children's residential communities, family homes, therapeutic communities, sheltered housing for people with disabilities or older people, and day centres.

How it works, day by day. Each member of staff signs in with their own account. The day grid shows every resident and the state of the three daily entries (morning, afternoon, night), with a counter of what is still to be written and a warning if last night's entry is missing. The editor opens the resident's three boxes; every save that changes the text creates a new version with author and time, so nothing is lost or overwritten. The handover notebook leaves notes for the next shifts, for everyone or about one resident, with an "urgent" flag and an optional date; each note shows who has read it and who has not, and at the start of a shift Dibo opens the notes still to be read. History per resident by period with staff filter, a full-day view, search across all entries, and PDF printing for team meetings, social services and the court.

Administration. The super admin registers residents (with admission and discharge dates) and staff accounts, checks the activity log (logins, failed attempts, changes, backups, exports) and manages encrypted automatic backups, also to a second disk or a USB stick. Export to JSON and CSV at any time.

Data and security. Dibo runs on Windows and Mac on the facility's own computer, with no cloud and no internet connection. The database is encrypted field by field: without a valid password or the recovery key the contents cannot be read, not even by the vendor. The facility remains the data controller.

What it is not. Dibo is the daily record, not a case-management suite: no fees, invoicing, staff rotas, care plans or clinical records. It sits alongside what the facility already uses.

Licence. Italian-language interface, sold in Italy. Annual licence per facility, unlimited staff and residents, up to three computers (Windows and Mac together), updates and email support included, no automatic renewal. When the licence expires the diary stays readable, printable and exportable.
