Filently is an AI filing assistant for Google Drive. It identifies each new document, gives it a clear, consistent name and files it into the right folder of your existing folder structure, automatically and without manual rules.

Filently works with the Google Drive you already have. It looks at your folders and file names to learn how you organize, and every new document follows the same logic. Documents come in by direct upload, through an inbox folder in your Google Drive or by email forwarding. Filently recognizes the document type, date and sender, renames the file, for example to "2026-03_Invoice_Acme.pdf", and moves it to the right folder within seconds.

Filently can also sort existing files into your folders, as long as your folder structure is broadly fine. If your Drive is already messy, Deep Clean is launching soon: it analyzes your documents, proposes a new folder structure that you can refine in a chat, and only after your approval re-sorts and renames your files in one pass.

You decide how much control you keep. By default, you review every suggestion and approve, edit or reject it. With automatic filing turned on, Filently files the documents it is confident about and sends anything uncertain to you. Every change appears in the Activity Timeline and can be undone with one click. For recurring cases, such as how a client's name is written, you add your own filing instructions.

Filently handles PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, OpenDocument files and scanned or photographed documents in more than 50 languages. It works in My Drive, Shared Drives (Professional plan) and files shared with you. Files without readable content, such as archives or videos, are organized by their file name.

Your files stay in your Google Drive, and Filently doesn't store copies of them on its servers. Document content is processed only in Switzerland and the EU; Filently is GDPR compliant and CASA Tier 2 certified. If you stop using Filently, all organized files and folders stay where they are.
