Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

LeadLocator overview
What is LeadLocator?
LeadLocator helps UK businesses get more value from the website traffic they already generate by turning suitable anonymous visits into identifiable local marketing opportunities.
Most website visitors never complete a form, make a call or start a conversation. LeadLocator gives businesses another way to understand that demand.
A lightweight script is added to the website and visitors can be prompted to share their location for a relevant purpose, such as checking service availability, confirming whether they are inside a coverage area or accessing a location-based offer.
The visitor remains in control and chooses whether to share their location.
When permission is granted, LeadLocator assesses the accuracy of the location data supplied by the browser. If it meets the required accuracy threshold, the platform can resolve that location against UK address data and associate the visit with a household address.
Businesses can then see the matched address alongside useful website activity, including pages viewed, time spent on the site, traffic source and the visitor journey.
This helps teams understand not only where an opportunity is located, but what that household appears to be interested in.
LeadLocator is particularly useful for local and regional businesses where geography plays an important role in selling and delivering services. This includes cleaning companies, plumbers, roofers, heating engineers, kitchen and bathroom installers, solar companies, landscapers, property businesses, private healthcare providers, professional services, franchises and multi-location organisations.
Unlike traditional IP-based visitor identification, LeadLocator does not attempt to guess a residential address from an internet connection. It uses permission-based browser location information and applies an accuracy threshold before attempting to resolve an address.
Not every visitor will therefore become a match. Visitors may decline permission, or the available location may not be accurate enough. LeadLocator is designed to prioritise useful, actionable opportunities rather than simply returning the highest possible volume of data.
LeadLocator can also support targeted direct-mail campaigns. Businesses can use successfully identified addresses alongside website behaviour to create smaller, more relevant campaigns based on genuine online interest.
The opportunities originate from the business's own website traffic rather than a shared lead marketplace. This means businesses can make more of the SEO, PPC, social media and other marketing activity they are already investing in.
LeadLocator can be used by individual local businesses as well as franchise networks and organisations operating across multiple territories.
The platform is designed to work alongside an existing website and marketing stack rather than replace it.
For businesses already attracting website visitors but losing most of them without an enquiry, LeadLocator provides another way to turn existing demand into something actionable.
