Microsoft 365 Reports overview

What is Microsoft 365 Reports?

Microsoft three sixty-five Reports is a comprehensive reporting, auditing and analytics software solution for Microsoft three sixty-five cloud environments. The platform addresses Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams and Azure Active Directory services. It targets IT administrators, compliance officers and security professionals in organizations that require detailed visibility into their Microsoft three sixty-five infrastructure without the need for PowerShell scripting or custom code. Critical administrative functions include discovery and documentation, security auditing, user access rights management, usage analytics and capacity planning.

The software delivers more than two hundred preconfigured out-of-the-box reports spanning multiple functional areas within Microsoft three sixty-five administration. For Exchange Online the platform generates mailbox configuration, mailbox permissions, non-owner mailbox access and shared mailbox reports. It provides send-as and send-on-behalf permissions reports, mail volume statistics, inbound and outbound mail traffic reports, sender and receiver activity analytics and external mail tracking. The license management module includes detailed license assignment, license type by user matrix and unassigned license reports that enable analysis of license usage across various dimensions and optimization of licensing costs.

SharePoint Online reporting capabilities include site inventory, site permissions, OneDrive permissions, OneDrive user permissions and OneDrive non-owner permissions reports. The audit and compliance module tracks site administration activities, Exchange mailbox operations, file and folder events and sharing and access request actions. Microsoft Teams reporting features encompass team listings, meeting reports, deleted teams reports and channel inventories. Custom report generation based on Azure Active Directory attributes allows administrators to filter and segment data according to organizational requirements. Reports can be exported to Excel, CSV or PDF formats and can be scheduled for automated generation and delivery at specified intervals.

The solution integrates directly with Microsoft three sixty-five through native Office three sixty-five APIs to retrieve real-time data without requiring PowerShell scripts or manual extraction processes. The desktop application connects to cloud services through secure authentication protocols and does not require server-side installations or additional infrastructure. The scalable architecture supports deployments in small businesses as well as large enterprises by handling reporting operations across thousands of users, mailboxes, sites and teams. The platform supports multiple tenants for organizations with several Microsoft three sixty-five environments.
