Ncored is a fast desktop PDF editor built for architects, structural engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, BIM coordinators, and construction managers who open heavy construction drawing PDFs from 50-200 MB+ project sets every day.

Most PDF tools are built for office documents. Open a dense drawing exported from AutoCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD in them and they start to lag: slow first paint, frozen scroll, stuttering zoom and pan. Ncored focuses on exactly that moment. It keeps the drawing you are viewing responsive, so you can scroll, zoom, measure your way around and mark up large sheets without waiting.

What you can do with Ncored:

Markup and annotation. Comments, highlights, shapes and stamps that produce standards-compliant PDF output, so your markups survive in any conforming PDF viewer your clients or contractors use.

Content editing. In-place text editing and image cleanup directly in the PDF.

Document handling. Merge and append drawing sets, split and reorder pages, full-text search across hundreds of pages, configurable PDF compression to shrink heavy sets before sending.

Measurement. Length, polyline and area to scale, in metric units (mm, cm, m). Set the scale by ratio or calibrate it from a known length, and points snap to the drawing's own corners, line ends and crossings. Measurements save as standard PDF measurements that Adobe Acrobat recognises.

Revision compare. Drag an older revision onto the open drawing and see what was added in blue, removed in red, and unchanged in grey. It works across whole drawing sets, not only single sheets.

Local and private. Ncored runs entirely on your machine, on Windows and Mac. The interface is available in English and German. Drawings never leave your computer, which matters when project files sit under NDAs or client confidentiality.
