rechnungswandler.de converts PDF, Word and Excel invoices, scanned invoices (free built-in text recognition) and manually entered invoice data into XRechnung (XML) and ZUGFeRD (PDF/A-3) e-invoices compliant with the European standard EN 16931 – free of charge, no registration required, 5 conversions per day at no cost. The invoice never leaves the browser: reading, validating and generating all run locally on the user's own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored.
Built for small businesses, tradespeople and freelancers in Germany who will be required to issue e-invoices from 2027/2028 (and have had to accept them since 2025), but don't want to purchase full accounting software. rechnungswandler.de Pro (from €2.99) adds unlimited conversions, keeping the original invoice layout, merging attachments into a single ZUGFeRD file, batch processing, a detailed validation report and an n8n automation node.
