Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

ReedPort overview
What is ReedPort?
ReedPort is cloud-based work order, invoicing, and equipment-history software built for small engine and outdoor power equipment repair shops. Shops look up a customer, open a machine by serial number, add parts and labor, and close out with a printable, PDF-saveable, or emailable invoice. Every ticket is tied to the machine's serial number and persists across ownership changes, so repair history follows the equipment rather than the customer. A serial-clash alert fires when a serial number already on file is entered under a different owner. The software runs in a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) on Windows, Mac, tablet, or phone, with no installation or local backups required. Data is hosted on North Trestle-operated servers behind Cloudflare, with the database on Neon (serverless Postgres) in AWS US East 1.
Feature coverage spans the core counter workflow and shop operations. Work orders support multiple machines on a single ticket, each on its own tab. Parts inventory tracks on-hand quantities as parts move in and out on tickets, with receiving supported by typing, USB barcode scanner, or an AI-assisted document reader that parses supplier PDFs, photos, or pasted emails into receiving lines for review. Customer records include open tickets, equipment, charge account balances, and aging buckets at 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90-plus days. Tax-exempt customers carry an exemption number and expiry date. Hour-meter readings are tracked per machine, with the last reading and its source ticket displayed on the machine page. Up to 25 captioned photos can be stored per machine, visible on shop copies only. A shop-load calendar displays open tickets as date spans across month, week, and day views. Cost and profit data is accessible on individual tickets and as shop-wide totals, protected behind a PIN and excluded from all customer-facing output. Card payments are handled optionally through Stripe via payment link, Stripe Terminal reader, or tap-to-pay, with no added fee on top of Stripe rates.
ReedPort targets independent small engine and outdoor power equipment repair shops in the United States, including those servicing mowers, zero-turns, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and generators. It is suited for shops currently on paper and card files, shops using only a fraction of a full dealer management system, or shops using auto-repair software not designed for serial-based equipment history. It is not suited for franchised dealers requiring OEM price files, warranty claim filing, accounts payable, general ledger, or payroll. Pricing is flat at $40 per shop per month with no per-user fees, no setup fee, and no contract. A 14-day free trial requires no credit card.
