What is ScreenTinker?
ScreenTinker is a digital signage CMS released under the MIT license. Run it on a server you control or on ByteTinker’s hosted cloud. The same software either way - no feature lock for self-hosters.
From one dashboard you build playlists, set dayparts, design multi-zone layouts and video walls, run kiosk/touch screens, and pull proof-of-play reports. Displays cache content and keep playing if the internet or CMS drops.
Players are included at no per-device fee on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Raspberry Pi, Windows, ChromeOS, BrightSign, and any full-screen browser.
Typical use: retail and QSR menus, office lobbies, meeting-room signs, campus screens, and multi-site fleets. Teams get workspaces and roles. Integrators get a REST API and optional plugins. Hosted plans start at one free display; self-hosting has no built-in screen cap.
