What is Sicada?
Sicada is a free, browser-based point of sale (POS) system for small shops, cafés, restaurants, and retail businesses. It runs in any modern web browser with no software to install and no dedicated hardware to buy, and it works on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Sicada can also be installed as a Progressive Web App and added to the home screen.
The point of sale includes cashier and register functions, product and category management, price and tax configuration, and discounts. For food and drink businesses, Sicada adds table management with per-table QR-code menu ordering for dine-in service, plus delivery orders. Every sale can produce a printed receipt, and customer records let you keep track of repeat customers.
Sicada works offline. Sales made while the connection is down are queued on the device and synced automatically once the connection returns. Staff accounts use role-based permissions so owners can separate manager and cashier access.
The Free plan has no time limit and no card required. Stock management and sales analytics are available on the Pro plan. Customer loyalty and the built-in AI assistant are available on the Business plan. Sicada is available in 13 languages.
