Tagsight overview
What is Tagsight?
Tagsight is an engineering workspace for instrumentation and controls (I&C) teams who build I/O lists, instrument indexes, equipment lists, line lists, and valve lists from P&ID drawing sets.
Point Tagsight at a drawing (vector PDF, scanned image, or CAD export). It reads every instrument bubble and classifies the signal type (AI, AO, DI, DO) per ISA 5.1, or per any of 230+ supported tag conventions including KKS, IEC 81346, NORSOK, DIN, and JIS, plus your own house standard. A human reviewer accepts or edits each row before anything exports, so the deliverable is always yours to sign off on.
Deliverables and exports: I/O list, instrument index, equipment list, line list, and valve list, exported to Excel, CSV, TIA Portal XML (Siemens S7), Rockwell L5X (Studio 5000), PLCCreator, DEXPI, JSON, and annotated PDF. Revision-comparison reports show what changed between drawing revisions for Management of Change.
Integrations and API: a public REST API and an MCP server connect Tagsight to desktop tools and custom workflows.
Security and teams: single sign-on, enforced multi-factor authentication, IP allowlisting, role-based access, and a tamper-evident audit log. Drawings and extracted data stay private to your workspace.
Pricing is measured in drawings, so cost tracks the work you actually run.
