Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

WorkTrac overview
What is WorkTrac?
WorkTrac is offline-first field service management and workforce management software built for blue-collar field crews in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and delivery. It connects the two halves of a field business in one system: a mobile app for the crew on the job site, and a web dashboard for the office.
What sets WorkTrac apart is that the field app works fully offline. Crews can clock in, capture job-site photos, send messages, and file OSHA safety and incident reports even in basements, tunnels, and rural areas with no signal. Everything queues on the device and syncs automatically the moment they are back online, so no time, photo, or report is ever lost.
For time and attendance, WorkTrac provides GPS-verified time tracking with geofencing, so the hours on the timesheet match where the work actually happened. From the office dashboard, owners and managers run shift scheduling and dispatch, projects and budgets, job costing, estimates, and invoicing, with one-way export of invoices and customers to QuickBooks Online. Approved time can be exported to payroll providers including Gusto, ADP, and Paychex.
WorkTrac also includes a tamper-evident work-proof chain. Clock-ins and completed work are cryptographically signed on the device at the moment of capture and chained together, so any later edit, deletion, or backfill breaks the chain and is visible. Anyone the contractor shares an exported log with can verify it themselves at worktrac.io/verify, in their browser, with no account. It gives contractors a checkable record for prevailing-wage requests and billing disputes instead of a timesheet a client has to take on trust. Additional capabilities include a client portal, a subcontractor portal, multi-stop route optimization, an equipment registry, a skills passport for certification tracking, heat and air-quality safety alerts, and SOS alerts for lone workers.
Importantly, WorkTrac is not an employee-monitoring or screen-recording tool. GPS is captured only while a worker is on the clock, never off hours, and direct messages and the anonymous grievance channel stay private from managers and admins. The work-proof feature protects the worker as much as the contractor, proving they showed up and did the job.
WorkTrac runs on iOS, Android, and the web, with the same offline-first sync across every surface. Pricing is modular and month to month, so businesses only pay for the features they use. WorkTrac is built by Happihack Studios LLC in the Portland, Oregon metro area, and is live now on the App Store and Google Play.
