Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Zeph overview
What is Zeph?
Zeph is a modular case management platform and online document archive designed for organizations managing investigative workflows, medicolegal death investigations, and records management responsibilities. It provides a secure infrastructure with tiered configuration options to support a simple document archive with optional public access, a full case management environment, and an enterprise configuration for medicolegal workflows. Unlimited user access is included in every configuration and hosting is fully managed.
The case management module features a workflow spanning intake through final resolution with configurable terminology and process steps tailored to organizational requirements. The document archive stores records with version control, access logging, retention scheduling, and role based retrieval permissions. A public portal supports searchable records access and an automated Freedom of Information Act request workflow with configurable disclosure rules. The enterprise configuration extends the platform with a PACS imaging module compatible with DICOM formats for computed tomography, x ray, magnetic resonance imaging, fluoroscopy, photography, and video. Evidence management enforces chain of custody through cryptographic verification, barcode and quick response code scanning, and an immutable audit trail. The system includes a customer relationship management component with eighteen contact types and eight communication channels for agency and stakeholder engagement. Built in reporting tools enable analytics with comma separated value and portable document format export, scheduled delivery, and trend analysis across configurable periods. The administrative interface offers more than sixty configuration tabs for terminology, field labels, workflows, and portal branding without code modifications.
Security controls include Advanced Encryption Standard with encryption at rest and Transport Layer Security for data in transit. Multi factor authentication supports time based one time password protocols, hardware security keys, and single sign on integration via Security Assertion Markup Language. Role based access control permits custom role creation, group permissions, internet protocol allowlisting, and session management controls. Every system interaction generates entries in a tamper evident audit log recording authentication, record access, modifications, and exports in an immutable trail. The infrastructure provides geographically redundant failover with documented recovery objectives, annual disaster recovery testing, and automated encrypted backups with point in time recovery and restore validation. Continuous monitoring tracks system health, performance, and security telemetry around the clock while managed updates and patching are applied on a coordinated schedule.
Integration capabilities include laboratory data exchange via Health Level Seven interfaces, death certificate processing through Electronic Death Registration System connectivity, and medical imaging interoperability with DICOM adapters. An application programming interface first architecture exposes more than four hundred endpoints documented according to Open API specifications to support custom integrations and workflow automation. A comprehensive test suite comprises six thousand five hundred automated tests covering unit, integration, and end to end scenarios across more than thirty product modules. Versioned releases are accompanied by changelogs and architectural decision records to document technical choices. Development efforts continue toward a targeted production deployment.
