Pros

It's quite easy to segment data. It's easy to tag what you want to measure.

Cons

It takes some time to use it fully. The training could be better. They need more use cases and help to get people to use it fully.

Great analytics platform

It allows us to monitor complex marketing funnels and segment those funnels beyond any other software out there.

Pros

Great UI, making it easy to visualize your marketing funnels and segments. Tons of customization options, allowing you to build a funnel based on basically anything.

Cons

Takes some time to learn, but that's because it can do some pretty complex things. Just use their documentation to learn it.

I use Mixpanel every single hour a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year !

It's the simplest way to track app usage.

Pros

Installation was time consuming but this is mainly related to our codebase. Segment integration is working like a charm.

Cons

Emailing user experience should be reimagined and made much more intuitive to match the amazing user experience of the whole app.

Data loss and bad customer support

I've never had any data loss with mixpanel, since I switched to segment I had 3 severe data loss incidents, one was a segment server failure, one was a result of Segment's API and the 3rd is still under investigation. 2.

Pros

Reduce the amount of code that handles analytics and tracking No real alternative

Cons

Unreliable. Bad customer support.
