Some options are missing from it, but that is to be expected from a web-based app. The only thing I dislike is how hard it is to open the documents generated in Google Docs through other software.

The icons are small and it's easy to accidentally press the wrong button or hit the wrong combination of keystrokes and change the menu into tiny icons with no explanations.

With unlimited Data and security options, this is a great tool for large companies and corporations to send files in a secure manner. Also great for single person use as this option is free.

Pros

Google Docs integration allows simultaneous editing.

Cons

Pros

Box helps to keep things organized and collaborate with your team. A lot like Google Drive.

Cons

Doesn't have all of the editing capability of Google Docs, but still easy.

I like Box and the overall approach, but have steered more to a Google Doc instead recently.

Pros

The ability to share content is nice to have, but so many other applications make it easier to do.

Cons

I would rather use a Google Doc to edit and collaborate and share than Box, as it gets a little clunky.

Pros

It's easy to share documents with someone else, and you can set up different permissions. It allows editing documents with Office Online, and changes by other collaborators are reflected and saved at real time

Cons

MS Office documents work fine, but I have had trouble to have live collaboration on Google docs

I currently use this to transfer secure information between healthcare companies. I feel comfortable with the safety of the product. Good for companies when they do not use google products

Easy and capable cloud storage and file sharing platform

Pros

I have used many different cloud storage programs both for business and personal use. Box is my favorite by some margin, mostly because it's intuitive to use and reliable. The competition is stiff in this field but Box has managed to stay current. I especially like the file previews, which work like a charm.

Cons

No major drawbacks. Google Docs has maybe better collaboration features, but overall Box is a very capable performer.

Easy to add administrator and collaborators on different folders. Easy and convenient to upload document and share with people. Can be password protected.

Cons

Text format is not the greatest: if comparing to google doc, the text option is limited. Hard to arrange pictures.

It was great for storing a lot of my files but was not good for working together.

Pros

It was easy to store files online and share them with people that needed access to what was being worked on.

Cons

I did not like the collaborative features on here as it was much more complicated then google docs or slides.

Unlimited storage with applications integrations including Office suite and Google Docs. AES-256 encryption and 2-way authentication.

Cons

No block level sync. only 5 Giga Byte upload (file size). no ability to remotely delete a device and lacking 24-7 support.

Box i like much better than dropbox because spreadsheets look for excel documents unlike dropbox and google docs.

Cons

It has been pretty good so far and i have not yet intercountered and cons as of yet. Perhaps price for multiple users is far.

Box: a great way to share a lot of information with a lot of people

Pros

Box does a great job of allowing users to organize files in ways that make sense. Much like the "My Documents" space in your PC, your Box space can act like one giant "My Documents" area for an entire team. Box has great search features and it keeps track of revisions to documents that are stored within it, allowing you to easy revert back to an older version of a document just in case you need to. Team members can also easily leave comments and feedback on the files stored in shared folders.

Cons

Box Notes are kind of clunky to use. This feature tries to be like Google Docs, but it just falls short.

Box helps share documents with your team

Pros

Box is helpful is providing a shared drive that is easily accessible on or off campus and also allows you to share files, especially large ones, with people outside of your company. The editing features are nice, letting you make edits and save to update the document for everyone to view. You can also lock the document so others cannot make edits. The folder system makes it easy to organize.

Cons

You cannot see the edits in real time (like you can with Google Docs) and sometimes you can overwrite someones changes by saving your new version immediately after they did.
