It's a great solution to store documents and share them across all platforms internally between team members, or family, or friends, and externally with other customers or acquaintances without worrying about your own infra high availability.

I love how the desktop intergration ensures you save the document in the same place. It's a great alternative to Google Docs.

Overall, it's easy to use. It doesn't have a lot of tools but it does its job. I don't usually have a strong preference between Box, Google Drive and Dropbox as they are all pretty similar and I simply follow what the team suggests.

Rock the Doc!

When I first started using google docs three years ago, I was immediately hooked. It was very easy to upload your own file and edit. I also liked how there were only necessary functions on the toolbar on top, it reduced clutter and was one of the main reasons the software always looked neat. It is also extremely easy and convenient to access. Unlike Microsoft Word,  you could just hop onto an internet browser and log into google docs using your gmail and you have access to all your files.

In the past, my research teams have used Box to collaborate. Google docs is just an easier method.

I use Google Docs on a daily basis for university work from writing laboratory reports and creating study guides for students. It's a great and efficient tool for academic work and personal projects too!

A great collaborative platform

I am committed to Google Docs, for better or worse. It's simple enough and free enough that my complaints don't warrant a change.

I like using docs for making my tool box talks for our safety meetings. Docs are fairly quick and easy to use.

Overall most people in my office prefer it to Box for co-editing documents at least in the early stages of writing projects.
