Pros

“OneDrive's automatic syncing feature ensures that my files are updated across all devices, which is especially helpful for accessing documents on the go.”
ER

Erica R.

Assitant PM

“The File Upload process is stable even with larger batches, and the platform provides a cohesive environment for keeping digital files organized.”
JA

Joshua A.

Director of Risk Management

“Instead of forcing you to manually drag files into a specific OneDrive folder, this feature automatically maps your PC's default Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders directly to the cloud. If your computer dies, you can log into a new machine and find your entire desktop exactly how you left it.”

Pros

“it's a super easy cloud based SFTP server, built on buckets that are also accessible programatically, and webhook integration to aid in automation.”
EK

Eric K.

Vice President, Engineering

“My favorite feature with SFTP To Go was it's accessibility across multiple platforms. Whether it was accessing the server on a new/temporary computer or integrating with a trusted desktop client (which is my preference).”

Tax Preparer, Owner

“I love the webhooks feature, and the ability to provision access credentials for specific subdirectories.”
DK

David K.

Director of Technology

Cons

“Filename and Path Restrictions: OneDrive is highly sensitive to special characters (like <, >, |, ?, *) and long folder paths. If you have a deeply nested folder structure or copy files over from a Mac, the sync client can choke and refuse to upload them until you manually rename everything.”

Kabeer Q.

public relation officer

“The biggest drawback is that file synchronization can occasionally be confusing when multiple users are editing or moving files at the same time. While version history helps recover changes, sync conflicts can interrupt workflows if folder organization and permissions are not well managed.”
CC

Caleb C.

Estimator - Project Manager

“We haven't really found many major downsides ourselves, although like any shared file platform, a few initial permissions niggles, folder structures and file organisation that still needed managed properly or things could have become messy over time; a particular issue when volunteers come and go over time, or people work from different devices.”
MC

Mark C.

Board Trustee Membership Secretary

Cons

“We utilize the SFTP for pharmaceutical claims, and I grab the new document each week, but there is not way to sort newest document to oldest or anything like that, which makes finding each document a little trickier.”
IC

Isaac C.

Enterprise Business Analyst

“You can't send a web portal link to schools to transfer their data unless you pay for the higher tier.”
AC

Ashlynn C.

Director of Software and Production

“For smaller teams with limited storage and transfer needs, the pricing can be manageable, but it becomes more difficult to justify as storage, users, or data transfer requirements increase.”
