What is Penneo Sign?
Penneo Sign gives regulated businesses a secure, eIDAS-compliant way to get documents signed digitally — without sacrificing compliance or control. Built for industries like audit, legal, and finance, the platform is used by over 3,500 organizations across Europe.
Documents can be signed using eIDs such as Danish MitID, Swedish BankID, Norwegian BankID, Finnish Trust Network, Belgian itsme®/.beID, German AusweisApp, or a passport. Both Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES) and Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) are supported, with QES carrying the same legal weight as a handwritten signature under EU law.
On the technical side, Penneo Sign offers a REST API for integration with ERP, CRM, and document management platforms. Workflows can be configured with specific signing orders, multi-document case files, role-based signing, and bulk distribution. Automated reminders reduce manual follow-up.
All data is encrypted, hosted in EU-based data centers, and handled in a GDPR-compliant manner. Penneo holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (Information Security) and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 (Privacy Management) certifications. Every transaction is recorded in a tamper-proof audit trail.
