Pros and Cons from Visual LANSA users

I also really like the developer friendly IDE and the fact that VL helps you with existing applications (as well as new ones).
Poor Debugger, One must know the concept and language to use it, limited prebuilt wizards.
The repository keeps everything organized and reduces code redundancy and the framework helps you get your application out rapidly by taking care of all the plumbing for you.
Not very much documentation or presence online when a problem occurs.
I am a person that has many "What If" questions and the Lansa support staff have been excellent.
To many ways to skin a cat with the options to tackle problems.
Visual Lansa is easy for development and modifications, it is user friendly and intuitive software. It also allows interaction with various Microsoft products.
Sometimes task management can get confusing with objects checked in/checked out.
As a programmer, I like VL because it is easy to use.
Can write as granular as needed for your specific requirements. Once that has been accomplished you can concentrate on UI design and coding.
Pick it up and move it over. I can't emphasize enough how valuable these traits are in environments that do not have the luxury of time and money to continually retrain.
Web based interface make development much easier than on the green screen, plus RDMLX allows for greater field sizes and development tools.
Best Low Code Development Software in the Market.
Ultimately satisfied our business and user needs.
A lot of the power that Lansa delivers is hidden under the covers and this saved us a ton of money, time and hiring extra resources.
It's flexible, intuitive, and can do make integration easy and FAST. Side by side, doing something in Lansa vs develop something in RPG or COBOL is 2-3x as fast and 10x more intuitive).
Used Lansa tools to solve new and or existing business flows and logic. Used Lansa to switch over from various legacy systems (G/L, order entry, sales etc...).
The recent acquisition by Idera has given some pause to the community (there were a flurry of exits from long-timers as well) but so far it seems to be working out.

Sales and account team was fast, responsive, and had solid knowledge of the product. Technical team was readily accessible over a Slack bridge -- we loved that.
We contacted the credit card company and asked to rebate the charges, and Sendbird fought it. We were unable to get anything at all.
The performance is impressive, the API straightforward, and the iOS client code provided was good enough for us to build on and ship production worthy code quickly.
Lack of flexibility with moderation, lack of multi user per account.
Easy to implement and super easy to monitor the messaging -- we're very happy.
Some features were missing when we initially tied up and had to custom implement on our side.
Team answsered very fast and was really helpfull. Moreover, we had some latency issues due to EMEA deployment and the tech team has done a good job to improve the quality.
Not open prices as they provides different price to different customers. Some core features are missing with different platform.
Very pleasant and would recommend using Sendbird to other engineers looking for chat integration.
I still have issues to this day with implementation related to connecting, temporary messages, caching, error handling, etc.
The customer service team has been very responsive with any inquiries. Although they are a third party partner, it feels like they are in my own team.
Chat is quite difficult to implement into an app on both the front-end and back-end.
A great team, helping to integrate a great product.
Their pricing is good for what you get. If you are just looking for a plug and play chat service then you should definitely consider Sendbird.
We sometimes experience service issues and interruptions from time to time. However, their customer support is really amazing and they have been extremely helpful.
SendBird makes it really us to build out complex chat features with minimal overhead. This helps us quickly differentiate vs. other competitors.
Integration was very easy and straightforward as well.
Team is willing to help you - starting from your first contact.

There are free student licenses which help using course-based materials for teaching software engineering. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.
Some of the labeling on the different components in the diagram is confusing.
My overall experience with Astah has been very good over the years and I will continue to use the tool in coming years.
Not possible to adapt models to other methods (TOGAF, BPMN...). No link between activities & lanes in activity diagrams and other UML components (actors...).
It has already helped me to secure a substantial contract.
The colorful and easy to create UML diagrams, especially the sequence diagrams, convey detailed information in a very effective way.
Good features to create UML diagrams, easy to use.
The last thing that I want to do is to wrestle with the tool as my ideas and thoughts float away.

We have been very happy with the JAMS product and the Team @ MVPSI overall; the product is very stable and the vendor team is very responsive with issues and helping the customers.
Clients tend to lose connection with server as it does not refresh consistently (v6), sometimes frustrating that other sessions will show different job statuses.
However, the support team is an invaluable part of the product. The support team has been fantastic in helping me to understand what capabilities are available and exactly how to use them.
Sadly at this time, after spending a year attempting to deploy, JAMS is not the product for us.
Great dependency checking. The new Workflows are a great addition and very useful for full scale "thinking" by the flow or processes.
We did not want them looking through batch files and trying to figure out what failed and when.
The idea of having JAMS scheduler handle jobs and monitor them is fantastic and is the best solution so far for batch jobs while managing 20-50 servers.
Sometimes the response time in viewing the detail screens is slow. However, it is difficult to know if it is the JAMS product or our environment that is slow in rendering results.
The software is fantastic in ease of use, reporting and job creating.
JAMS has an amazing amount of processing capabilities available.
Ease of use, Robust functionality, built in features like connecting to Oracle EBS, FTP, SFTP, FILE COPY to name a few.
JAMS is the centerpiece for our organization in completing automated processes and deployments to production environments. Easy to use, excellent visibility and audit trail.
The JAMS Support Staff is very knowledgeable and respond if needed very quickly. JAMS Support also resolves any issues quickly and resolves the issue the first time.
Interfaces with virtually everything we have running, Windows Server, Linux, iSeries and is the central part of the production environment. Proved to be a great catalyst for developing in PowerShell.

It's an amazing hub for collaboration, creative ideas, and skill training.I get in touch with various developers around the world and I also get to discover their skills and work- it's simply fun.
You can't work on it offline. The interface is outdated and can be confusing when you are starting out.
It is definitely its graphical interface, how intuitive it is, you like to use it. For students who are just starting out, the use of a tool like Code Pen is great.
Very limited feature for codepen projects. More features are available in paid version.
CodePen is a great place to learn and work on coding web-based and front-end projects. The challenges are fun and engaging and the community is very supportive.
Although this application have lots of features but it lacks many which other competitors have. The auto-code completion is poor as the code library is not vast.
It's a pretty useful and solid tool. Not only that you can search other developers' code like CSS animations, JavaScript techniques, and much more.
It has only 3 languages available i.e HTML, CSS and Javascript and another thing I don't like is that it does not have the feature of live collaboration.
CodePen is a simple and great. What I've like the most: it doesn't matter what is the length of your code.
You can create your projects for free, UI is great and clean, must have tool for developers.
For showcasing your small snippets it is good. More like a social ground for developers to showcase.
Good for showcasing small code snippets as the community for codepen is very large compared to other tools like codesandbox. Minimal configuration to start with.

Brilliant, it has become an invaluable tool seamlessly integrated into Workplace, another invaluable tool. Customer service is very, very impressive.
I am desperate to see the flow/journey/map of the messages I build so I can track it without having to 'use' it, plus a place to build that map.
Collaboration with The Bot Platform is a pleasure - they have super responsive support, they actively listen to our feedback and make some changes to the platform based on our experience.
The only feature that I missed in this software is the option where they may be called from external APIs. When you need to add this kind of feature, you need to set it up directly to Workplace.
Special shout-out to our Customer Success Manager who is super dedicated to us and helpful. The advice is very much appreciated and crucial for us without a doubt.
I loved the opportunities it brought and how the software proactively suggest bot ideas (there are new all the time!) and develop ready to use templates that allow you to set up bots in minutes.
Ease of use, easy deployable, simple-ish interface and options/customisation, help guides, customer support, pre built bots for inspo, responsive deployment and updates.
The categories needed to build and follow up on the bots are straight to the point and easy to figure out. The set up with Workplace is a matter of minutes which we appreciated a lot.
And yet, even with all of this, my favorite thing about The Bot Platform is their customer centricity and strategic partnership - we have a true partner in TBP.
The Bot Platform is easy to use, has fantastic support, and is well designed.
The tool is very useful when you plan to build some chatbots in Facebook Workplace in an easy and fast way. It's not necessary big technology knowledge about its operation.
The platform is super intuitive and it is well-organized.
This software is super easy to use and really integrates well into the work we do.
It has made our lives a million times easier using this platform. The customer support is second to none as well, always there within minutes to help out with any issues or queries you may have.
