What is direst?
direst is a digital motorhome parking space system designed for RV sites and campsites. It is also a booking platform that manages reservations, payments and accounts, and also lets operators control all installed systems, including barriers, supply columns, garbage stations, and more. The solution can be accessed via a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer.
Operators can access the electricity, supply, and disposal columns. The solution sends a personalized booking confirmation email to the guest, which can be triggered by a confirmation click. The booking is then confirmed and stored in the system. Operators can pre-set consumption credits, based on either per head or day, and add to the booking’s site fee, preventing additional bookings, or power cuts on guests’ arrival. If the consumption credit is running out, there is an early notification to the guest so that they can top up their smartphone or tablet. direst’s daily credit ensures availability of all usage and consumption-dependent items, such as water, electricity, waste disposal and access to sanitary areas and showers.
Guests receive a booking confirmation containing a personal QR access code with all stored booking data, after payment via credit cards, bank transfer, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. With the QR code, barriers, extraction points and entrances to the sanitary building or garbage station can be controlled for the selected period.
direst automatically registers a guest at the tourist office. The information is stored at the time of booking using a guest registration form and is sent directly to the spa administration or tourist information upon arrival. The platform provides price adjustments depending on the occupancy or bookings. Operators can pre-set minimum stay requirements to optimize occupancy and receive a detailed final invoice, once the guest departs. If the guest cancels a booking, operators receive income according to the pre-set cancellation conditions. direst’s interface connects the booking platform and operator website, and enables data import.
Key benefits of using direst
• The power columns do not require a QR code reader, as they are activated and controlled by the system itself when the space is booked. The systems can be linked to one another via fiber optics, Lan, W-Lan, LoraWan, or Powerline.
• In the event of an internet failure, the system continues to run in emergency mode until internet access is working again.
• The second system handles the entire exchange of data between operator and vacationer. It consists of a main system for booking processing and a subsystem for controlling all hardware components of the parking space, including guest credit management, and is hosted on two separate servers in Germany.
• Operators can manage all booking inquiries and responses through the online system.
• Guests can book the site at short notice using the tablet terminal in the registration area. If the guests do not have a mobile phone, they will receive a temporary QR code at the barrier, after booking and payment, which is valid for the respective booking period. This is issued via a receipt printer on the tablet terminal.
