Emergency Logs overview

What is Emergency Logs?

Emergency Logs is a web-based operations and asset tracking platform built by First Responders for First Responders. It gives Fire and EMS agencies one place to check, document, and track everything in the organization, from narcotics vial counts and EMS supplies to apparatus checks, equipment inventory, PPE, SCBA, and GPS tracking.

Founded in 2016 as PhaRmLogs, Emergency Logs is a Veteran-owned company and a three-time Gartner award-winning program. The platform is designed, built, and maintained by a team of firefighters and paramedics with more than 50 years of combined Fire and EMS experience, so every feature comes from real station life, not a sales roadmap.

What it replaces. Paper checklists, spreadsheets, binders, and disconnected apps. Crews complete checks on a phone, tablet, or station computer. Anything that fails is flagged right away and can automatically create a trouble ticket or work order, so problems get fixed instead of forgotten.

What it tracks. Emergency Logs is modular, so you start with what hurts the most and add as you grow. Every module shares the same users, apparatus, and locations, so nothing is entered twice.

Controlled Substances Tracking: Full chain of custody for narcotics with dual verification, vial counts, waste documentation, and audit-ready reports built for DEA and state requirements.

Checks: Daily, weekly, and monthly apparatus, equipment, and station checks with failed-item alerts and complete history.

Trouble Tickets and Work Orders: Report, assign, and close out repairs on vehicles, equipment, and facilities with cost and downtime tracking.

Inventory and Supplies: Track medical supplies, station stock, and equipment across every location. Set reorder points, build and approve orders, and see exactly what was used, where, and by whom.

PPE and SCBA: Inspection, cleaning, repair, and service life records that follow NFPA guidelines, tied to the member and the piece of gear.

Fleet and Facilities: Maintenance schedules, service history, fuel, mileage, and inspections for every apparatus and building.

Education, Task Management, and Events Scheduling: Assign training and tasks, track completion, and keep station calendars and events in one place.

Blood Tracking, AED programs, staffing, and more, with new modules added based on requests from working departments.

Why departments choose it. Crews get a tool that takes less time than the paper it replaced. Officers and administrators get accurate records, real-time visibility, and the documentation they need when an auditor, a chief, or an attorney asks for it. Dashboards and exportable reports show response performance, equipment history, supply usage, and costs, so decisions are based on real numbers instead of memory.

Support is direct and setup is fast. You talk to the people who built the software and have done the job.
