Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Juno EMR overview
What is Juno EMR?
Juno EMR provides Canadian medical professionals with a full-service, externally hosted, cloud based EMR solution developed from the open source software OSCAR McMaster EMR. The solution is fully integrated with provincial medical billing and labs systems in Canada, as well as PHR, patient engagement, eFaxing, telehealth systems, and more. Juno’s mission is to facilitate the access to open-source electronic medical records to Canadian healthcare providers and their patients.
Juno delivers full practice management capabilities, enabling users to manage patient records, medical billing, practitioner schedules, lab results, consultation requests, prescriptions, fax communications, and more. Scheduling capabilities support multiple schedule templates for numerous doctors within a program. Users are able to access patients charts, demographics and billing directly from their booked appointments, facilitating patient management. The built-in billing module for both Ontario and BC comes with a respective medical benefits database in order to simplify lookup for code and DX code. Juno also provides a prescriptions module with a fully integrated medications database complete with dosages and interactions.
Juno’s e-form capability is based on HTML, making online forms infinitely customizable, including database calls which help complete patient or practitioner data automatically. Users can setup alerts for patients if they are overdue for a visit, facilitating chronic disease management. The ticklers/reminders system enables users to assign tasks and reminders to staff, and track if or when tasks are completed. Fax consults and referrals can be sent directly from the Juno platform.
The solution has the ability to provide service to a variety of Canadian health care professionals including general practitioners, physicians of all specialities, medical office assistants, nurse practitioners, midwives, and more. Additional services such as automated appointment reminders and online booking for patients can be added on.
