It takes so long to create the most basic form in TheraNest and you cannot duplicate questions.

We tried to use our own Intake and Treatment Plans, but then none of it had interface with the other features, so we went back to using their forms, but they are not in the format we need for Medicaid and for our own needs.

I feel like when it comes to insurance claims and support for when to complete progress notes to ensure that new authorizations are submitted and files to continue treatment there is a disconnect between Ensora and when authorizations are actually due.

Sometimes its the schedule that wont move, while currently it is when I want to write notes, it wont scroll [in fact its doing right now in checking it...scrolls for a second then freezes].

Any update causes more work for the company having to re-enter previous information save.   When cancelling an appointment, the new update created extra steps to be taken in order to cancel it out.

The scheduling, claim submission, and the ease of documentation and communication with the clients contributed to having a somehow stress free practice.

Independent Contractor

The treatment plans are not clear regarding target dates and whether to sign the plan when it is created or when it is completed.  

At times the video quality can be inconsistent, or a client may have difficulty entering the session, though this doesn’t happen often.

I liked the functionality of the calendar and being able to customize it to meet my needs.

I guess the only thing that makes me stumble is when the page setup changes; it takes me a bit to assimilate. But that is more user deficiency on my part.

I have had issues with not being able to speak with anyone over the phone to address an ongoing issue I have with dating assessments for clients and dating the assessment document accurately as well as addressing Medicaid client requirements and documentation.

Currently, they have rolled out a systematic change with the transfer to Ensora and providers are fully unclear about what this means in terms of data usage and privacy re: AI integrations, options to opt out of unneeded services, price changes, note taking, and other ethical and clinical related issues.

Back button - write off the money the insurance won't pay, save, back button, charge the client what they owe, back button, send the client a statement (their "automatic" receipts don't show what the date of service is).

I first started using TheraNest when I was with an organization. When I moved to private practice, it was a no-brainer for me to use the same platform I had always found easy to use, and everything I needed to keep up-to-date paperwork was right at my fingertips.

I am happy that the insurance accepts my notes and I am able to peruse through my notes when I need to.

They claim to be very proud of their billing system - as they have "added" features to make the billing process quicker- (which I found their "upgrade3" doesn't even pull the correct amount a client owes and it needs to be manually fixed anyway and I have to manually write off money insurance won't pay).  

Now having to navigate to a separate page each time I charge a client feels unnecessary, especially compared to how easily it worked before.

However, at the turn of the transition to Ensora, I seem to have lost some of my very important notes, i.e., some of the old treatment plans/documents, going back to 2021-2022.

I find it easy to look up my clients' notes, create assessment notes, and schedule the client for their next appointment.
