What users say

It also looks a lot better than me just writing it and posting a picture, and parents see it as a professional tool and definitely feel they are getting their money's worth.
The cost of this product is great for the amount of information you can quickly manage your team.

Almost Great But………Frustrating for Organization Management W/ Multiple Teams or Divisions

Reviewed 2 years ago

I decided to switch our lacrosse club with multiple teams & clinics from another management software after reading positive reviews of Teamsnap. I now realize most of the reviews are from experiences on a single team level, not organizational level. We’ve been using Teamsnap for 2.5 years for registration/payment processing, rostering multiple teams, contact management/communications, and team...

Pros

This software is excellent for a coach or a manager to use for single team management. It simplifies communicating with players and families. Email or group chats are easy for using amongst players or coaches. You can easily see who is on a team you are a member of. Player availability can be easily tracked for practices and games to help coaches plan. Volunteers or snacks/drink assignments can be created for each game or event. As a parent and a team manager I have very positive experiences using it over multiple years and sports. Both the free and paid team plans are great for a single team.

Cons

No phone support available. When running an organization an administrator needs the ability to talk to a support person to avoid problems and help with issues that are not covered in how-to’s and help videos. The chat feature on the website is a bot responding with generic help topics that I have already read. Emailing support means waiting days up to a week of back and forth to get an answer that...

easy to use

Reviewed 2 years ago

Easy to use and makes it very easy to track your kids sports schedules.

Pros

Everything in one place, calendar, messages, player info, make it easy to track kids sports for busy parents

Cons

After the trial offer, if you do want to keep all functions and features it does get a bit expensive.

Convenient Tool for large groups

Reviewed 4 years ago

It’s been a good app that has allowed me to be connected to others in the organization and also parents and students who are members of our organization. Every week they are automatically reminded of rehearsals. Everyone gets the emails and text notifications promptly. Also for instance this week, we sent out notice cancelling our rehearsal in view of Covid-19. Didn’t have to send individual emails, just had to update on Teamsnap.

Pros

It allows for repetitive messages to be sent to a large group. It’s convenient to send an urgent message or reminder or direction to a large group of persons all via email and text messages.

Cons

The price is quite high for the facility. Many groups are using this app especially sports groups, the yearly membership should be reduced.

TeamSanp everything you have been waiting for.

Reviewed 5 years ago

Perfection. I have not had a single issue with this product and have recommended it others.

Pros

Everything. Finally everything in one place. I have loved using this software! It is perfect for work, or outside groups. Keep track of members, what their roles are with in your organization member contact info, and events. You can even use it to keep track of individual fundraising for each member.

Cons

Honestly I love this. I wish more organizations used it. The biggest downfall is the price point for non profit use with large groups.

Very Complicated

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

This software seems to have most/all of the bells and whistles, but it's very complicated to use. If you're running a big organization or league, then it probably makes sense, but if you're just a team it's definitely overkill. We use about 10% of the features.

Cons

Customer support is mediocre. The help files seem to frequently be related to a previous version of the product or for some other reason I'm frequently unable to make it do what the help files say it should. Really the software is just WAY to complicated to use, I think given all the features if they did some usability design, they could make a really wonderful product, but the current interface...

Vendor response

Sorry you found the product confusing. We pride ourselves on ease of use. We would love to hear any places that you found confusing so we can work on them. Ken General Manager

Avoid

Reviewed 3 years ago

Terrible. Customer support is useless and condescending

Pros

After using TeamSnap for years, I upgraded to the organizational TeamSnap and purchased the Tournament Application. The package came with a hefty price tag of over eight hundred dollars. What I was unaware of is it took hours of tutorials to learn how to operate the organization TeamSnap functionality. This, too, after I had already used the very simple TeamSnap for individual teams for years. That's...

Cons

Not enough bracket templates. They created a tournament application that does not have basic needs for tournament organizers

Expensive and you still have to watch ads

Reviewed 2 months ago

hate the ads because I pay so much. I should not be subjected to ads. I can understand if its free but its not .

Pros

Can follow teams easily. Assignments and schedules, availability.

Cons

The cost. Will be cancelling next year. I have only kept it because the team hates new things and whine. But next year Im cancelling subscription and using the free apps that do the exact same thing.

Most popular, User friendly team management software.

Reviewed 6 years ago

TeamSnap made it easy to manage a team roster, inform the team of the game schedule, check attendance and communicate with the team.

Pros

TeamSnap is easy to set up and use. It makes it easy to communicate with parents on your team via email or text. You can schedule games, check attendance, track payments, post team photos, and email the entire roster from your email account.

Cons

Cost. Free version is very 'stripped'. Paid version is excellent, but you have to pay per team, and there is no discount for subsequent years, multiple years or additional teams. Cannot roster on and off players for different seasons/tournaments.

TeamSnap is the ONLY software to use for team managment

Reviewed 5 years ago

I have tried other options (been forced to by orgs that don't use snap) and no one comes close. They save you tons of time with the repeat feature and they always respond immediately to inquiries.

Pros

Great interface- they really get what people need to manage teams. Quick response from customer support.

Cons

Price has been steadily rising which is not a big deal as the team splits it. They do allow you to keep your original amount if you have had a team for years.

Stay in touch with your team

Reviewed 3 years ago

Love the shared game day pictures comments and conversations, but it can get a little annoying on my Apple watch as notifications can ding endlessly if the whole team gets chatting about a topic

Pros

If you have children playing in any type of sports league, you need to recommend this software to the team administrator to keep all the parents in the loop. There was nothing more frustrating as a team manager trying to email all the parents game, practices dates and times Etc and still have parents complaining about missing team info. This platform takes care of that issue and keeps all team info and updates in one easy to find place.

Cons

I like to delete old info and found team snap to store info not needed for longer then needed and there is a price tag to use, its not free.

The cost of this product is great for the amount of information you can quickly manage your team.

Pros

This software is extremely user friendly, helps manage and coordinate with my players and parents all in one app.

Cons

This software gives you the opportunity to manage multiple teams but the ability to see all teams at one time is an additional cost to the base.

Use the free version

Reviewed 2 years ago

Free version is where it’s at.

Pros

The free version gives you 95% of the value. If you can collect fees with another system, there is no down side to TeamSnap.

Cons

Customer service (None). If your card expires they simply disable the whole club account with 0 minutes warning.

I am trying to figure this app out.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I contacted teamsnap support for an issue and they were not able to help solve my issue.

Pros

I do like the concept of this app and service.

Cons

You can not view your previous payments. The website says you have to use the app to view payment info. I was not able to find the info in the app. After contacting their support they told me you can't view previous payments in the app. So conflicting information. You can not combine your payments for your athletes in to one bill. Because you can't combine your bill the app charges you a processing...

Vendor response

Teamsnap

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall an okay product, but not the best on the market Playmetrics is better.

Pros

Easy to use for basic functions of scheduling Games and practices so the entire team can share a schedule.

Cons

Maps are frequently wrong and have taken people to wrong parks. Site can crash and it is difficult to know when people do not have the information they need. Cost is high for people who manage teams that are low budget, close to $100 per year.

Great app, way over priced.

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

It's incredible for organizing a team. It's easy to use.

Cons

WAY too expensive. Rather than one person paying a monthly fee, every user should be able to pay to use it permanently.
