Overall it has been effective as a coach inputting the information. It is also easy to manage multiple teams in the app at the same time. 

Tracking a team management tool

I was trying to get a better way to communicate with our teams and streamline invoicing and payment plans.  So far this program has done nothing but take hours out of my day responding to emails from my customers that they can't access their TeamSnap account.  

Very Disappointed - Overpromised and Underdelivered

I have uses it for years.  It is my go to app for team management.  I used it seasons with one team and seasons with 15.  Its been smooth sailing ans I have no trouble.  I use this for communication features as well

The software does what it's supposed to do. However, if I would have read this review before investing money, and time in TeamSnap, I would consider other options. Because of that money and time I feel committed, STUCK! I don't have time to learn a new system, nor right now do I care to. I own my business. If I had their customer support I wouldn't have a business. They get away with it because I doubt very seriously if anyone uses their software full time, including their customer support. Most people using TeamSnap must have the time to read article after article or look at screenshots, oh by the way look absolutely nothing like my screen, or watch a video that's so out of date it makes you even more confused. In a day and age when you can get answers to questions almost instantly, it is infuriating to have to wait 7 to 10 hours to find out what box to check on a form you are creating so that it will function the way you want it to.

Overall a good deal for a free app. If you pay for more features I am sure things get easier.

Ramin S.:                                              My name is Ramin. I am a team manager of a soccer team, and I give TeamSnap a four out of five.
                                                       Prior to using TeamSnap, our team used a combination of both email as well as Google Sheets to track all of our team activity, attendance, payments, et cetera. We really decided to go with TeamSnap because it was just a one-stop shop for everything related to the team, whereas email can get lost. Google Sheets has a number of different ways you can use it, but TeamSnap was just a one-stop shop simply for all of our teammates.
                                                       For choosing TeamSnap, it really came down to just knowing what our target audience needed, in that case was our team, and having one place where we can just get together, know who's attending, how much people are paying, the activities, dates, all in one place. Whereas other products we looked at just didn't have that for us. TeamSnap is just one place that has it all, that everyone could just have on their phone or log into their desktop or laptop. It really just did a great job for us and has done a great job for us, so really happy with it.
                                                       Integrating with TeamSnap was incredibly easy. The team did a great job of doing their overall overview of the tool and really showing us the power and functionality behind it and showing the group of team members that we have using the tool how to go about it, make the best use of it. It was extremely easy. We've never ran into any issues, but we've had to contact them when there was some site bugs or anything like that, and the team would go over alternative ways of using it and how to make the best use of it. It has been very, very, very great for us.
                                                       For anyone that's out there considering TeamSnap, just know that we all have a lot going on in our lives and having an app that is very functional, that will make it so we can have one place to have, whether as our sports league or an amateur group doing other physical activities, sports, anything like that, just to have somewhere where, as a manager, you're already working or you're doing things, but you also want to manage this other activity you're doing, TeamSnap really provides you with that extra support. That extra one-stop shop, again, using that phrase, of having somewhere where your team can go in, you can go in yourself and manage who is coming, who is responsible for what. It's just so awesome having it run on your phone and doing it on the fly and not having to worry about digging through emails and communicating a different way when you have all that built into one place. So highly recommended, definitely go for it, and hope you guys enjoy if you do.

Dave:                                                  Hello. My name is Dave. I help manage a youth softball organization. I give TeamSnap a five out of five.
                                                       When we looked at the other alternatives, they seemed to have one main focus: the registration, the administration part of our program. But they didn't do much for our coaches. We wanted something that not only helped us with administering our youth program, but also, made a difference for every one of our volunteer coaches.
                                                       What TeamSnap has done for us is fairly dramatic. From an administrative point of view, I can create and turn on registrations quickly and communicate them to my entire program or the specific subsets in my program. And as the data flows in, while I can manage much of it in the application, I can also pull it out and drop it directly into Excel for a more sophisticated review of what's going on and how things are going. Even more importantly, as we finish registration, we prepare to put our teams together. We meet with our coaches for our draft meetings, and during the draft process, TeamSnap manages it for us. And when our coaches walk out of the meeting that night, they have in their phone their entire team's information, how to contact them, how to welcome to their team, and how to set the stage for their very successful season as a volunteer coach of a dozen young ladies. Meanwhile, we've got the same information for our entire program, and we can get ready for another successful season.
                                                       When we made the transition the first year, it was a bit scary. Our registration, for years and years, have been getting together at our community house and seeing all the faces, and all the players, and their families for the first time. Since the previous spring, all that was going away, and we weren't quite sure how our community would react to a total digital onboarding process. We were really pleasantly surprised. It went more quickly. It went more accurately. And the general response from our community was, "How come we waited so long to make this transition, guys? This was so smooth. We didn't have to take a whole morning to get up on a cold January to come register our daughters again." It just went easily.
                                                       And as the years have gone on, we're quite a few years into our use of TeamSnap now. It just gets simpler and simpler, and simpler, and we've actually been a catalyst in our community. So, not only our program, but half a dozen other programs have made the transition from their different solutions to also settling on TeamSnap. The more youth programs in the same town that use this application, the easier it gets for families as they're used to using it one way, their daughter or their son's data flows from program to program, to program, and everything just works better not only for each of our respective programs, but for the families that work all of us.
                                                       If you're still thinking about making the transition, couple recommendations on the best way to proceed. One is talk to other programs in your community or a neighboring communities who you may know, and ask them, how has it worked for them or have they already worked with it? One thing you'll find, if one or other of your programs in your town have already made the transition, it will go much more smoothly for you. Two, have somebody who's pretty competent with managing data. If you've got an Excel spreadsheet expert in your town or in the midst of your program, take full advantage of them. Once they see how easy it is to get data out of the system, review, analyze it, they'll be the biggest advocate for you to make the transition on their behalf. And three, talk to some of your coaches or some of the other people who use, who manage your programs, who manage teams for you and your program.
                                                       You'll find they may already have experience with it from other programs, and they will be a great advocate and a great assistant to you to how to make sure you set it up properly the first time. But if you make a mistake the first time you set up a registration, [inaudible 00:04:09] I always turn a new one on and send it to two or three people and make sure everything is buttoned up before I send it to a couple of hundred. If you make a mistake, that's okay. It's really easy to correct it, adjust it, and turn it back on correctly.
                                                       It's a wonderful, powerful tool. It's got an incredible amount of flexibility, and the folks at their headquarters back in Colorado, if you've got questions, they're always there to answer them. If you have ideas, they're always there to incorporate them into what's going on. As a matter of fact, this year, in the middle of the pandemic, a youth sports program started to come back on. They were able to add the COVID questionnaire into the middle of the program so every one of our coaches could now document for every person at every practice, at every game that they've fulfilled their pandemic and their local Board of Health responsibilities to ensure the safety of our kids, the integrity of our program, all in a wonderful piece of software that just keeps getting better.
