What is Blink Session?

Blink Session is a video conferencing solution for online therapists, teletherapists, & other telehealth providers which facilitates online interaction & content sharing. Designed specifically for speech pathologists, counsellors, occupational therapists, and educational tutors, Blink Session offers the tools to effectively communicate with clients, automate day-to-day tasks, collaborate using interactive content, and track progress.

In order to aid with administrative duties, Blink Session facilitates the scheduling of appointments and provides automation of reminders, recurring appointments, invitations, and timezone conversions. Clients can log in to the self service portal to view their upcoming appointments, converted to their timezone, along with any notes, content, invoices, pending payments, and reminders. Businesses can generate invoices using Blink Session, with data on appointment time and attendance automatically pulled from the system, and clients can view and pay their invoices online within the self-service portal.

Blink Session offers a range of interactive learning tools which can be utilized during video sessions to aid with communication including an interactive whiteboard, screen sharing, YouTube video embedding, a document camera, and more. The in-session document archive allows tutors and therapists to choose from an in-built database of personally imported or existing Blink Session resources including flash cards, PDFs, games, powerpoints, documents, and more, without having to leave the call window. Notes can also be added to resources to save scores or comments for future sessions or other tutors.

Key benefits of using Blink Session

Add, view, or edit SOAP notes both inside and outside of sessions to refer back to in later interactions or to aid others in the event of a change in tutors or therapists. Goals can be set and tracked throughout recurring sessions and notes can viewed at any time.

Access the in-session resource and document archive to add interactive games, videos, documents, presentations, and more to sessions, and see which resources have already been utilized in previous sessions. Resources are stored within the cloud system so users can access them no matter which device they’re using.

Observe other tutors/therapists using the observation feature which allows users to join a session as an observer during training or evaluations. The observed user is notified and both parties can communicate during the session via a private chat window.

Use the interactive whiteboard and screen sharing tools to make sessions more interactive by drawing on resources, highlighting key points, and typing over content. Screen sharing allows both student and tutor to interact with the same content simultaneously.

Benefit from administration features including session scheduling, reminders, invitations, invoice creation, payment processing, client logins, and more. Blink Session is HIPAA compliant to ensure all data is safe and secure.
