Overleaf overview

What is Overleaf?

Overleaf is a LaTeX-powered collaborative writing editor for universities, publishers, enterprises, and individual authors to collaborate on any document, calendar, presentation, banners, and posters. Overleaf provides an intuitive LaTeX editor that allows multiple users to work on any document at the same time. LaTeX code output is compiled automatically to provide users with a real-time preview of any produced document.

For multiple users, Overleaf synchronizes changes so all authors will always have the latest version. All changes are automatically tracked and can be approved and declined based on the impact. Overleaf also catches all code errors and will display warnings inline so users can catch errors early in the document creation process.

“They should have a feature for students for unlimited use. If compiling large document in free version, using overleaf can be a pain.”
