An incredibly powerful tool that allows decision makers to judge the impact of changes on systems and enable them to make faster, better decisions and predictions. Traditional support tools cannot adequately consider complexities, constraints, dynamic interdependencies and variability to support decision-making within such a complex environment.
The incredible flexibility! With AnyLogic's multi simulation paradigm framework a user can implement system dynamics, process-centric modeling (Discrete event) as well as agent-based modeling techniques all in one model AnyLogic is unbelievably flexible and with Java as a backend, there is nothing you can not do. AnyLogic is also at the forefront of new development in the simulation space. Always reinventing their product and offering and leading the simulation world into new technologies like cloud based simulations .
Like anything worth doing it requires some effort to master the basics of the software. But with excellent technical support and great examples and training amterial this can be overcome quite easily.

I'm developing a simulation model to analyze the impact of implementing an air fleet operations management optimizer algorithm. The idea is to check whether the operations policy based on this algorithm results in better fleet availability.
I particularly like the possibility of combining different types of simulation like agent-based and discrete-event. Another key advantage in my opinion is the possibility of communication between Anylogic and an external optimizing script written in Python. Overall, I think this simulation software offers a lot of flexibility and a huge number of possibilities for the modellers to implement their ideas and it counts with a great community that provide great resources open and available on the internet.
I think it would be helpful if there were more detailed and basic tutorials to facilitate the beginners users adaptation.

It was great to learn Anylogic and it helped me gain a better understanding of the agent modelling this semester
I liked how anylogic handles the mechanics of simulation. It is very efficient for someone who needs to build a full fledged simulation system
the coding editor features. It needs a lot of improvement for the code editor panels that has been given for custom code

One of he features of AnyLogic is its versatility. allowing me to tackle and try a wide range of complex problems with a single tool. This flexibility empowers to explore various modelling approaches and combine them as needed to accurately represent real-world systems. And the help that I got throughout the whole process from the AnyLogic team.
One downside I found with AnyLogic is its initial learning curve. Since it's a powerful simulation tool , mastering its intricacies can take some time and dedication.

In general, I am satisfied, as anylogic meets all my needs and I have not yet had to use additional software. This is the main thing for me. I would also be happy if the lessons and training material were more interactive. A good example here is the Matlab tutorials on their official website. They are broken down by topic and first you are given the theory, and then you are given tasks to reinforce it
Simple interface, wide capabilities, and functionality.
Sometimes it's not entirely clear what exactly went wrong, and then you have to go back a few steps to figure it out. Hints don't always help. It also takes a lot of time to learn. I'm not very good at programming and sometimes it's hard to understand java.
