Lucidchart was so much easier than any other software that I used (Draw.io, Creately, PowePoint) and had the added bonus of exporting the diagram to actual databasing syntax. It was so easy to work with and I would heartily recommend this to anyone looking to create an ERD. The other best thing is that it is free for students! I was able to use my university email and my project benefitted greatly.
This made it so easy to create sleek and readable ERDs. For a course on databasing, I had to create a complex ERD. Lucidchart made it easy to drag tables around, connect tables to illustrate their relationship type, and edit text. It also exports the image to formulate the basic SQL syntax for creating the tables themselves.
My only complaint is that Lucidchart mixes notation from Crow's Foot and Chen's notation, making some aspects of the design slightly confusing based strictly on the theory of ERDs learned in class.
