What is ezeep?

ezeep is a comprehensive cloud-based print management solution that enables businesses to manage multiple printers efficiently and allows users to print without the need to download drivers. The software supports printing from any device, including desktops, laptops, iOS and Android phones, and tablets. With its BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) support, guests can easily print from their own devices, enhancing flexibility and convenience.

Key benefits of using ezeep

ezeep offers numerous benefits that streamline the printing experience for both administrators and end-users. A key advantage is driverless printing, eliminating the need for users to install printer drivers. This ensures cross-platform compatibility across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and web browsers, enabling seamless printing from desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Its BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) support allows guests and employees to print securely from personal devices, enhancing flexibility and convenience.

The cloud-based management system centralizes control, allowing administrators to manage all printers and print jobs from a single dashboard. This reduces infrastructure costs by eliminating on-premises print servers and streamlines maintenance. Administrators can set customized print policies for users or groups, such as page limits, color restrictions, or duplex printing default, to control costs and save on consumables like paper and ink.

Security is a paramount feature of ezeep, particularly with its secure pull printing functionality. This safeguards confidential documents by holding print jobs in a secure queue until the user releases them, preventing sensitive documents from being left unattended. Users have flexible release options via mobile devices, emails, or a web portal. Additional security measures include data protection compliant with industry standards and access control for managing user permissions, ensuring only authorized personnel can access certain printers or features.

ezeep also offers print payment and quota management, enabling organizations to monetize printing through pay-per-page pricing for color and grayscale pages. Users can purchase credits and manage payments directly from their devices, while administrators can set quotas to offer a set amount of free printing before charges apply. This system encourages mindful printing practices and aids in cost recovery.

Comprehensive reporting and analytics provide insightful data into printing activities, including print volumes, devices used, and user or group-specific data. Visual dashboards allow organizations to monitor overall printer utilization and identify trends, optimizing resource allocation. Scalability and flexibility are integral to ezeep's design, with tailored plans ranging from Free to Enterprise. Organizations can choose a plan that matches their needs and easily adjust users and printers as required.

Integration capabilities enhance ezeep's utility, offering API access for custom printing solutions and compatibility with services like Microsoft Universal Print, enhancing interoperability within diverse IT environments. For organizations supporting remote and mobile workforces, ezeep provides location independence, enabling employees to print securely from any location and facilitating mobile printing for employees on the go.

Cost savings are realized by minimizing hardware requirements and maintenance, and by optimizing printer usage to save on energy, paper, and ink expenses. The user-friendly interface benefits both administrators and end-users, requiring minimal training for quick adoption. Environmental benefits are also significant, as ezeep helps reduce waste by encouraging double-sided printing and limiting unnecessary print jobs. Sustainability reporting allows organizations to track and report on their environmental impact related to printing.

Finally, ezeep ensures 24/7 accessibility and reliability through its cloud infrastructure, providing consistent access to printing services with high availability. Users benefit from automatic updates without downtime, ensuring the printing system is always up-to-date and efficient. By leveraging these benefits, organizations can improve efficiency, enhance security, and reduce costs associated with printing, all while providing a seamless experience across various devices and locations.

Ezeep cloud printing and alternative to Google cloud printing.....

Reviewed 4 years ago

It is a good and responsive company and they have a really nice solution. Not yet there but they develop fast.

Pros

The reason we looked at Ezeep is because Google stops with Cloud printing. We had to find something else. Using Ezeep's print API we did that in a few days (really easy). Than we build an app for Integromat (also easy). The app is still private (we might publish it). That did solve 90% of the google cloud printing we use. Can it replace Google's cloud printing: no, not fully (yet).

Cons

It prints A4...... yes A4 only (any other format depends on the printer). It does NOT support label printers. It is hit and run. Label printers: a BIG thing for us (who does not have a label printer) ! It uses the LOCAL print driver settings for printing (example: if you have heavy paper loaded you need to change the settings on your printer to plain otherwise it will not print). This concept avoids having to support all the printers in the world (they always covert every file to a pdf before printing). But it has it's downsides. We would like to be able to tell the printer: tray, papersize, papertype, copies, etc .....as a minimum the same parameters Google Cloud printing uses. Some printers support printing tickets. Ezeep supports that and uses these. If you printer supports it, it will react on the ticket data. Operational management and monitoring (manage local print connectors, etc....) not really part of the product yet.

Ezeep Printing Solutions

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

That I can add anyone and it tracks what they print for billing.

Cons

It took me over a month to get the support to make it work once we got rid of the integrated billing system. All is good now but it was frustrating.
