The best way to describe Google Cloud Platform is to say that it is to Google Drive as MS Office is to MS Access and SQL Server.
Moving to Google's ecosystem is Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors. Microsoft's backend package (heh) is and has always been bloated and support is not the most supportive. (Hey, at least it isn't AWS, am I right?) Using Google Cloud Platform is a good bet for the near future.
Like all backend database platforms, it is a commitment to the ecosystem and migration in and out of it will make you question your career choice.

Our goal with the GCP was that we needed a server to be accessible from anywhere, and decided instead of purchasing a physical server, we would put our server in the cloud. It worked well, and we utilized it as our SQL server for our data from our stores. Very high speeds from Google, so there was little to no delay on data traffic.
We utilized the Google Cloud Platform primarily for a VM running Win Server 2012. What we liked best with GCP, was that it worked. We tried several other platforms, but were unable to get them to work with our onsite hardware. GCP was the first platform which allowed us to establish a 3-way VPN tunnel to multiple physical locations, with the firewalls we had installed. Combine this with easy data backup tools and various other features, it made for a easy solution for our needs.
The GUI/website control panel area is relatively limited, and to really maximize your use of GCP you need to understand the Console commands and how to use the console to setup your servers and manage your settings. This requires some more advanced knowledge and training beyond a consumer user. Access to any type of support is locked behind significant paywall.

I love that Microsoft Office users offer us the possibility to collaboratively edit Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents, without the need of software and software developers and SQL databases to create applications
Low storage capacity can become a problem. besides, it is a bit expensive. however, it is very easy to use and I love that

Mysql is my preferred platform
first off, the availability of MySQL across multiple platforms is why i love it . Mysql has a great interface and its user friendly. Easy to export the sql dump and import into another mysql installation. Likewise the fact that it is free makes it very popular on many systems
There are some syntax compatibility issues with MariaDB when trying to use their sql dump on either platforms

A+ experience, setting up a hosting server was simple and easy.
Google Cloud provides you with everything you could want from a cloud platform and more. their Hosting provides everything from virtual machines to database servers, and provides all of the analytics you could ever want to see how your products are running. This great product is what I would expect from google.
There are almost too many features which can be overwhelming and confusing. I'm sure for some people it is great to have every feature imaginable, but for doing simple things, it can be a distraction.

In testing software after creation...you can send it to your vps fastly by ftp and after you can donwload the virtual machine of the private server to install it on another backup server..
The easy way to deploy a test vps for testing web apps or rest api android apps....The lamp server can be deploy very faslty and there's no majors services cutoff access
The lack of wizard to deploy a tools ....you have to do some research to find the way that it works.

previously we are using physical server + hypervisor the server in house, but there have alot of problem such as power cut off often, repair the server UPS, repair the SAN storage, repair aircon, maintain internet connection from ISP, maintain the firewall, and we need to pay to all utilities that i mention above. finally we try to find anotehr solution to move those 24/7 application to cloud to make it stable and no worry about those things anymore. we still keep some server such as AD to running inhouse as well.
for me I have been start using google cloud for long time already, especially the VM, the way that we use it because its dynamically, no worry about down time, cost is reasonable, no worry about security hacking/attack. best thing i like is dynamic firewall that google provides, that we can change the public ip for specific server, very powerful. can move VM from one region to another region faster.
its very powerful already, i have no comment about this.

We are very satisfied with the results so far, having set up our web applications on a kubernets cluster and our relational datastore on Cloud SQL
The web interface usability, the command line tools and overall user experience across different products from the platform

Access to Google's infrastructure and technologies (Cloud Storage == GFS, DataStore == Megastore)
Some products (Datastore in particular) introduce vendor lock in. More vendor neutral solutions like Cloud SQL are not very competitive in terms of pricing.

Overall GCP is still evolving as compare to other cloud providers but their Technical Support staff is much better and very professional to handle any issue and concern.
Google Cloud Platform is another option as Infrastructure as a Service which has lot of cutting edge options for moving to cloud from own data center ,it supports almost all kinds of OS (Linux,Windows etc) with various options for High Availability (multiple regions. GCP provides lot of other applications for Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence (AI and ML) .
Few things worth to mentions regarding GCP when we compare it with other Cloud Providers(AWS and Azure) 1. GCP is little bit expensive . 2. GCP still lags some areas in terms of features(Oracle and SQL Server ) which other clouds provides. 3. Management tools are little bit lagging the comfort level that other providers included. 4. Some components has regional behaviour (Load balancers and Interconnects) which as per them will be taken care in future

I have been using this product for years and earning small adsense dollars while not paying anything for my server.
The standard platform of Google Cloud, which is PAAS, has free tier which is perfect for starting your own website. It scales automatically so developers dont have to worry about sudden spike on the website. The flexible runtime has tons of options ranging from linux to microsoft server, the pricing is almost as cheap as AWS. It's good to use when you want more control of the system.
The pricing model could get complicated really fast, the learning curve on the PAAS side is a bit harder when you're new to programming.

Best suitable for who like to migrate to cloud and moving towards into Serverless implementations to reduce the cost
Best NoSQL supported databased which can be scaled very easy Good SQL supported databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL databased which can be scaled and highly secure Great support for IoT
It would be good Google Cloud Platform also comes with AWS IAM kind of role management. Some times feels like it is more complex than AWS

Serverless and Firebase is cool but not price effective if you can manage your own server. Digitalocean and others have cheaper network
Cheaper than AWS With firebase, it is one of the easiest solution 300$ free credit for first use there is everything you need from serverless to virtual machine
Expensive network Outside of firebase is not easy to use

I used sql server in the past until cloud based database system like Hadoop and Google cloud are available. this tools is complex and extensive. There are a lot of features and functionalities to create stable and high rated database system like cursor, functions, stored procedures, etc. However, when the data requirements grows exponentially, the system unable to handle the load which takes significant amount of time to query. This is where company looks for better solution to handle big data load using cloud based database. SQL server going to be recognized as the pioneer of database system that set the standard of SQL language for similar products. Perhaps overtime they also evolve with better solutions to handle big data load; something that I have no knowledge about.
Relationship database is structured database management that create with data integrity and reliability in mind.
Slow performance with big data load requirements. Also physically need to build primary keys for each tables instance.

SQL is very user friendly, easy to use and install. The interface is intuitive. Lots of great windows and analytic function with T-SQL. It is very versatile. I like the fact that it has community version that includes all useful features.
License is very expensive. Not enough for big data purposes. I find it slow when connecting to the cloud.
