Pros

The account reps I have had for the past several years have been amazing. You need to get to know as many people as you can at Kaseya and learn to work as a team with them and you will be very happy.
My engineers love the Kaseya VSA, ease of use and speed. We have been a long time Kaseya partner and plan to continue our great partnership.
Fantastic product that provides the ability to securely manage and monitor your managed service customers.

Pros

Connectwise automate is by far the best RMM tool on the market, It allows you to create a ton of custom monitoring alerts and the wizard makes it super easy to accomplish.
It was really good when I first started using the product and it's even better now. The native integration of ScreenConnect makes life for our engineers so much better.
I really like the features that Connectwise Automate offers. The ability to remotely patch servers and endpoint devices is excellent.

Cons

Kaseya support is terrible, I mean really terrible. I think they only have one level 2 technician because the same guy gets back to me when the first guys can't fix it.
Terrible customer service, NO Support, slow, lousy features for the price. Constantly have to uninstall live connect and reinstall.
The lack of a 64 bit agent until recently was a pain point for a while. Updating Live Connect is time consuming.

Cons

Stay away from this product. You will always need technical support, but the support is very very poor.
In order to get the full power you really need to dedicate the time and resources to add what you want to it. Reporting is abhorant and got even worse with the new reporting engine.
I then send a formal letter to cancel service and they say we won't except this. I have now asked twice to move to 25 agents and again the same thing is happening.

Pros

Agent procedures to automate scripts are the best thing about it. The Remote Control and Live connect work well. Policy management in kaseya makes it easy to automate everything in Kaseya.

Cons

Their tier 1 support is bad. If you get escalated to tier 2 they are great. The VSA website does not work well in Chrome.

I have been using this since 2013, there still a lot I need to learn, this program gives you a lot of opportunities if configured properly. You can have hosted or on premises either way it will cust you some change, you license per administrator and per agents.

Pros

This is a very powerful tool, you can set scripts, updates, manage networks and set alerts and policies for one interface.

Cons

It can be very complicated to set up, support is good but not over the top, there are a lack of reporting tools compared to what you can automate.

Great software, but the interface is limited.

Kaseya helped us to get an accurate picture of our network and assets. We have been able to leverage Kaseya to do a number of projects that previously were off limits because we had to "touch" every machine. Now that "touching" a machine is just selecting all from a list we have significantly more flexibility from an IT standpoint.

Pros

The feature set of Kaseya is impressive and has helped me to automate a significant amount of our work.

Cons

The interface is currently awful. Flash is not a technology that should be used in a modern product and the interface frequently fails to update accurately when using filters.

Some functionality not obvious

Overall, this has been an easy to install and implement software.

Pros

Overall, it is easy to set up and administer. There are lots of functionality options in order to automate the environment and keep track of all workstations and assistance needs.

Cons

Some of the modules, even using the help options available, are not obvious for set up and require some tweaking and re-tweaking. Occasionally it also requires reaching out to support, which is just a slow process. However, the people we have worked with have been thorough, knowledgeable and have been very helpful. Additionally, once data gets to a certain amount within Kaseya, it makes searching for tickets very difficult - and you can't search by ticket number.

Pros

The ability to centralize a, automate and monitor lot of our IT functions. The windows update and application update module is a really nice add-on to address all vulnerable applications.

Cons

Asset management and Active Directory integration. Lack of Chromebook options. The support has been challenging to work with on higher end issues.

Overall positive experience with Kaseya so far, but getting down to brass tacks.

This software allows my company to support and manage the networks, workstations, servers, and technology of our customers. It allows our technicians to remotely access and administer customer systems, automate maintenance tasks, monitor security and end user behavior, and also gives us a direct link into Kaseya's BMS product for support desk access with direct customer asset access and information. It has saved us many labor hours through automation of system patching and simple end user request or issue resolution.

Pros

I very much like Kaseya VSA's patch management capabilities, discovery, remote control and Live Connect, as well as the many integrations with 3rd party products. VSA has made troubleshooting and reporting on ours and our customer's networks exponentially easier. I like that Kaseya is plotting out a roadmap to a software version that encompasses all aspects of Managed IT Services, and am looking forward to the next release.

Cons

I am not particularly fond of Kaseya's Cloud Backup integration with Acronis, and while customer support was exceptionally good prior to our purchase, and for almost the next full year after, it seems that there have been some internal changes of late. We've had 4x account representatives in the 1.5 years we've been using VSA, and this last fellow just isn't cutting it. I've also noticed that our version (permissions) to the SAAS VSA do not reflect the same dashboard as others and getting features added or removed has been a process.

Kaseya is one of the best RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools in the market we have moved from REACTIVE to PROACTIVE and now we are moving to SERVICES related to "Service Management Maturity model" thanks to Kaseya we achieved 1. Analyze trends 2. Set thresholds 3. Predict problems 4. measure applications availability 5. Automate (highly appreciable when you handle hundreds of devices) 6. Mature Problem Configuration, change, asset and performance management 7. Increase Security in multiple layers 8. Manage the entire Windows updates process 9. Remote Control 10. Compliance and audit Reports

Cons

unfortunately using kaseya core modules, it is not stronger to manage network devices

Best RMM Tool Hands down

I purchased Kaseya over 10 years ago. During the evaluation, I was concerned that I would make the right choice and not waste time and money on a mistake. Best decision I have ever made. It allows us to manage and automate like no other product can. Some other products have pieces of what Kaseya can do, but no one has it all. The scripts you are able to create give you the power to re-mediate, install & manage most things automatically. I love this program and would recommend to all. It is a huge reason for my continued success.

Pros

Scripting - Single biggest reason this software is so powerful Monitoring - Alerts - Remediation Automation Information quickly Remote control

Cons

Costly - But you get what you pay for Menus - They are working to standardize the UI

The Kaseya lego kit

We manage almost 8000 of our customers machines. On almost all servers we run monitoring to alert us to issues, like disk space problems, services not running or certain eventlogs popping up. Here the lego building part of Kaseya is obvious. You get the rough shape to help you set up, but you determine what machine needs what monitoring. You polish the whole in the right shape. We have good security...

Pros

- You can build a whole lot of automation with their building blocks; - The depth of information should cover your needs; - New leadership has taken some time to reform the company, but is now running full speed ahead; - The potential of venture capital is a big benefit to what they can do, if you make them see the need.

Cons

- Old building blocks have lived on too long (this year is supposed to be the big clean-up); - The mix of old parts (up to 20 years old) and very recent changes in limited places is confusing; - Support can be great, but usually takes a few days to get up to speed on technical challenges; - Integrations of Antivirus are limited and the Kaspersky Anti Virus option will cost you a lot of time;

Fantastic system for remote management, scripting and much more

Used Kaseya before switching and love the overall layout, features and in-depth information you can retrieve very easily. Wish I could set a few things with some customization, which might be possible by working with connectwise engineers but that would be above my paygrade.

Pros

Set up monitoring alerts, script automated processes, control end user and servers remotely with a couple clicks. Ad-hoc sessions allow admin access remotely, even if the user does not have rights. Fantastic experience overall and only have minor pieces I wish I could see

Cons

Wish there was some more customization is some of the views. Would like to see some more basic information on the main screens, as opposed to having to dive into the properties to find. Seems that it can get a bit slow and unresponsive with certain actions. Not sure if this is our server or the software though.
