What is Relativity?

Relativity is an electronic discovery, or "eDiscovery" platform that targets organizations charged with managing and reviewing large quantities of data. Deployed typically as part of the issue identification processes within corporate litigation, internal investigations, governmental and compliance requests, the software helps to connect global users. The single solution, that can be installed on-premise and/or hosted in the cloud, offers an online community of Relativity customers, versatile training resources and an API-powered "App Hub" offering custom application extensions.

Relativity's complete set of seamlessly integrated tools claims to tackle every phase of an eDiscovery project, including search, analytic, machine learning and visualization capabilities. With Legal Hold users can create repeatable processes when analyzing and synthesizing case facts for legal hold issuing, while Early Case Assessment focuses investigation data to gain insights and assess risks. Processing is handled in-house with a data processing engine that promises metadata / container extraction and domain parsing, while feeding back data source metrics and ensuring complex searches aren't delayed. Document review and production is assisted by workflow creation tools, along with the ability to conduct review and coding duties remotely via a secured mobile app for iPad.
