Best way to start marketing automation and emailing

2017-06-23

Pros

It's really useful for small companies as it costs nothing. List management is a really nice way to start marketing automation.

Cons

It was way better than MailJet before, but now, I'm considering changing... or at least test the other.

Great for developers

2019-02-19

Rep has been very easy to work with, and I haven't run into any issues.

Pros

The mailjet API is vastly superior to the MailChimp API Great pricing

Cons

Not quite as newbie-friendly as a solution like MailChimp. it's definitely for a more developer oriented email solutions.

Good alternative to mailchimp

Pros

I like the fact that the servers are in Europe. And that mailjet is GDPR acurate. Easy to use

Cons

The fact that the domain authentication is very difficult.

Affordable for the small to medium user.

2019-02-22

It's been affordable for our small and medium mail outs.

Pros

Compared to MailChimp and all others, it was possible to budget Mailjet int our small the medium campaigns.

Cons

I'd like to be able to save an email so I can go back to edit it without having to copy it and create a new one.

Decent automation tool

2018-09-24

Pros

I preferred Mailjet over Mailchimp due to automation functionalities.

Cons

Date trigger in the workflow is not working properly. Support is usually late to respond. (or a coincidence in my experience)

Mailjet is the best value I have found for email automation. I have used MailChimp and Aweber.

2018-05-11

Email Autoresponder with good value. Has all the functionality I need for less cost. And it's fast.

Pros

I have used MailChimp and Aweber but found that Mailjet is a better value.

Cons

They are sticklers about bounce rate. My lists imported from other places had a large bounce rate. It wasn't a problem to me because the contacts were not bothered, but Mailjet kicked me off for 2 weeks because of it. It thought it was unfair. Anyway I Fixed my list and have been good to go every since.

The best alternative to Mailchimp so far

2018-10-05

Pros

It is very cheap comparing to Mailchimp, but does almost the same.

Cons

No major cons, but the template builder may sometimes be just a bit as less intuitive, than the Mailchimp's one.

Mailjet Review

2019-02-20

Pros

I've tried many other service providers such as send it blue, mailchimp, etc.

Cons

I wished there was more email templates to choose from. It is also a bit difficult to update my contacts individually. lets say I have 5 contact list. When sending out a campaign, I'm not able to select more than one contact list. Thus if I'm sending the same content in my campaign to all of my contact list, I would have to create my campaign 5 times.

Amateur, Not Knowledgeable Support. Unpolished App.

2016-04-01

I've used a dozen email-related services from mailchimp to mandrill to sendgrid, mailgun, sendwithus, persistiq, google apps, etc.

Pros

The idea of their tool is good. Merging transactional & marketing and letting you save newsletters

Cons

Really horrible customer service. Their team doesn't even understand the basics. App much clunkier on the inside than their website looks.

Best of two worlds

2019-02-19

As mentioned before, it handles email send-outs magnificently in combination with drip-campaigns. We had an issue in the time before we used MailJet when someone mis-used our SaaS by hijacking our invitation flow to send spam. MailJet would have prevented this, as they monitor any undeliverable emails and automatically blocks send-outs. Also, the MailJet free tier is veery generous.

Pros

I've used both SendGrid and MailChimp in the past, but I have to say MailJet nails both email drip campaigns and SaaS email send-outs (like Sign-up, Forgot password) magnificently.

Cons

The previous campaign flow was a little counter-intuitive in terms of UX, but this has now been fixed since a couple of months.

MailJet better than Most

2018-10-05

Overall, it changed my life for the better. I have a newsletter that I send out to almost 5,000 weekly. Mailjet has earned me new business, makes it EASY to create my newsletter. I haven't mastered segmentation yet, but, out of all the other platforms. Mailjet took me to a higher level with better "reach". I would recommend this to anyone that truly wants to increase their marketing exposure.

Pros

I had tried Mailchimp, Sendgrid and a few others.

Cons

I HATE the "Subscription Boxes", they are NOT user friendly, and you can only do HTML. Someone needs to do these over. They are kinda sucky. Just the entire "subscriber addition" platform needs a do over

Just don't try to become a customer. They don't want to have you

2018-11-07

Signing up is made really hard. The user interface is not logical. The support is very slow and not understanding nor flexible. A shame since I intended to test them for multiply clients as well...

Pros

It is EU based I guess. But there is not really a pro here.

Cons

After asking for increasing the limit, I got a mail back explaining that I was not compliant with their regulation despite that I have done everything that I have asked for (be aware; Mailchimp is an already in use alternative for the few campaigns we have annually).

Good overall... But, don't try to do too much too early.

2018-07-10

Pros

Mailjet is very easy to setup as long as you have access to your domain DNS settings. I manage DNS through Amazon Route 53 so changes reflect quickly when I needed to verify DNS ownership. Once you confirm ownership, setting up email API is easy, and works instantaneously - as it should. I started using Mailjet to send out server and website notifications. For this purpose it worked awesome. I had about 20 websites sending notifications out via MailJet and as long as the domain names were verified correctly it worked great. You'll run into problems if don't verify your domain so if you have issues check that first. Mailjet has an easy domain verification tool that will highlight any issues quickly. For transactional emails and general emails from an email client MailJet worked fantastic - read the cons section for an area of trouble.

Cons

But they seem far more strict in their email purposes than say MailChimp which seems to be setup more for marketing/newsletter type emails.
