Pros
Manage 360 is awesome for the operations of our company, and the fact that Design is linked to it for ease in estimating is a great feature.
When I have a question I contact our sales manager and either he will help resolve the issue or he sends my issue to the support department and they are pretty quick to help with the issue.
Excellent extension into supporting programs, colour, sketch up, etc. Fantastic customer support.
Cons
It’s a little difficult use with an administrator. You couldn’t navigate alone.
The most frustrating issue is when working with a design that has several elements / features, the program sometimes gets slow and indicates that it's "not responding.
Then when you get called away and there is no activity the timer stops.

Dynascape long time user...

Reviewed 3 years ago

I love using Dynascape and the installers I work with love that they have an accurate plan to create their masterpieces.

Pros

I started using Dynascape in 2008. Before that time I created hand drawn designs for my customers. Dynascape accentuated my designing ability. Modification is very easy, no eraser needed.

Cons

Modification are a common thing in landscape design work, Library hatching with specific interlock manufacturers patterns is a time consuming. Example, the default Library is Dynascape Patterns, If I choose the Techo-Bloc Library to hatch my Interlock project and after a review notice an error, to re-hatch I need to go find the library again. The hatching reverts back to the Dynascape Patterns. Time is money and this creates a delay.

Great Design Software

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

There is a small learning curve but once you get over it, the interface becomes very intuitive. It is easy to move items from one layer to another and to manage the layers. The ability to change line width makes the exported product easy to read. Compatibility with DWF/DXF format makes it easier to work with files from AutoCAD users. Ability to quickly measure line lengths and shape areas is a great benefit

Cons

It would be ideal if there was a 3D component that is connected to the 2D plan so that changes to either one will be updated automatically. It would be good to be able to manipulate multiple nodes in any shape. Right now it is easier to re-draw a shape than to manipulate it.

Needs Improving

Reviewed 3 years ago

When I've used the support email, or have had to move licenses around to new computers, company response has always been quick and thorough. It's my understanding that the company is working on a major upgrade to Design--and I must say it is needed--and I look forward to the results. New designers can quickly learn the basic skills needed to produce a digital design and track their assigned jobs in 360.

Pros

Following the tutorials for Dynascape Design, I was able to learn this software on my own and get up and running in a short amount of time. I use Dynascape Manage 360 mostly for client database features and project management with multiple designers, and for that, it has been easy to learn and keep pipeline details up to date.

Cons

Some of the design features are clunky and not intuitive. I would rather refer to the Design manual to figure out how to figure out a specific feature, however the manual has a poor index and often doesn't explain steps in a clear manner. More symbol options are needed for plant material and other landscape features.

Great CAD derived software for landscape designers or landscape architects.

Reviewed 3 years ago

I couldn't be nearly as effective in my profession. The drawings I can create using Dynascape are instrumental in communicating and selling to clients, plus communicating with contractors.

Pros

I appreciate the pre-programmed templates and figures that work well with my designs. This saved a tremendous amount of time when getting started. Thank goodness it can import and export CAD, so I can communicate with engineers and architects, and avoid unnecessary duplication of effort.

Cons

I wish they would develop a library of standard engineering / landscape architecture lines and symbols.

Dynascape Review

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall a good experience. I have been using it since 2008.

Pros

Streamlined integration with sketch up for our renderings. Able to easily share files with other landscape professionals.

Cons

Having the ability to have multiple pages/layouts associated with one file (like Auto Cad). A more user friendly interface to create ready to print plans with titleblocks. A simpler drag and drop with layers.
