Pros
We've been using Marathon's PestPac application since 1999. They're continuously enhancing the product and adding additional functionality. Their support department is awesome. 99% of the time, they resolve answer our question on the first call.

Cons
Nothing really. The software is a little more expensive than some other solutions, but we find PestPac is well worth the price.

Great! We use it for everything from billing, to service, to reporting, routing, and GPS.

Pros
PestPac offers all the features that we need to run our business and it happens in 1 program. That means 1 program to train on and 1 program to administer.

Cons
It is an expensive product, especially when using all the various features. Some of the modules are a work in progress, however they are still full price.

Better pricing curve for small companies would definitely would be advantages.

Pros
The software is very easy for the support staff users. I like the no nonsense format and clear details at your fingertips.

Cons
The major hurdle for a startup company would be the pricing schedule. It's a tad high for an entry level pest control business.

The Pest Pac software is everything in one for a start-up company or an established company. The software can grow as your company continues to grow and the customer service is ongoing and excellent.

Pros
The ease in which it helps to manage almost every aspect of a day for a pest control company.

Cons
The cost for training, once past the initial stage having the training staff either come to you or sending your people out to Pest Pac is very expensive.

Our experience with WorkWave PestPac has been great through the years. The PestPac has grown but never stopped taking care of the little companies like ours our. They listen to what our needs are.

Pros
You can make changes to fit your needs and what works for you and your company. It is full of options yet reasonably priced. Very user friendly and great support team.

Cons
We have no complaint. We have been pleased with PestPac.

It was mediocre. I would not rule it out 100 percent for a company to use, but I do not feel comfortable recommending it. I feel that the company might need to find new programmers or look outside the box they are in currently to make the software flow better and be more up-to-date on how the screens (options) interact.

Pros
it was affordable. Good customer support.

Cons
This software is a bit clunky. By clunky, I am referring to the different options (screens) and the way the user has to interact between the choices. It seems to use less sophisticated programming and reminds me of programs written years ago using MSDOS.

Pros
Very detailed work and keeps track of all your chemical use and notes and billing. The mobile app is good too.

Cons
A little high in price. They charge for adding other things like ipm service . They have a lot of tables to fill out before using. Not for small company.

Pros
The idea is good and having agreements, gps and other aspects are pretty good ideas, when it works, if the product work and didnt have to wait for calls back durring work ours and pricing would be better.

Cons
Customer service, pricing is costly, nickel a dime you for every little module, I started with this and ended up having to pay alot more after transitioning over and you become stuck, then you get a call when your having issues sometimes a day later or several days later, modules that dont work because issues you still have to pay, for instant, we have been paying and they make sure you pay and the contract module to send to customers isnt working. this is one of a few issues.. then they reconcile you account for the benefit of them making more money not to make sure the clients are taken care of but to make sure that we are paying them. example was they reconciled my account and took off a user that they said we havent been paying for and was part of the initial agreement so they removed this and now we cant all log in at the same time. Or we are paying for lead management, its not working for weeks yet we still have to pay, so much more.... I had windows version since 1999 and switched over to cloud based and 1st they always answered the phone and fixed issues right away, now its not the same...

Once we discovered the List Management feature, it changed our world over here. Overall, we've had a great experience with Pest Pac. Its always being updated with new features and they take feedback really well.

Pros
Now that I've learned how to use it, Pest Pac is a great system. At first, I wasn't crazy about it because it was hard to learn. The new design really helps. Once you figure everything the reports can show you, you can do pretty much anything. There are a few things that we have to rig up in the service orders because we don't want to pay anymore than we need to. I don't know the exact cost of what we pay, but I know its pretty high. I've heard that the other "cheaper" companies don't have as many features and their customer service isn't as great. Pest Pac does have amazing customer service. Every time I've called or email in, I get a quick answer to my questions. If the person isn't sure, they check on it, and call/email right back.

Cons
It was a bit hard to learn, and I'm not crazy about the blue color of it all but thats just little stuff. I have no actual complaints.

Pros
I like the reporting functions. I like the integration with collections and credit card processing. The mobile app is great, however expensive.

Cons
We have used pestpac for the last four years. First setting up the software was a nightmare. We had to spend weeks of our time to fill in so many back end options that most could have been set to defaults instead of making us build it all from scratch. Every time that a new feature came out we would think the feature looked awesome. Then after shelling out a ton of money for each individual feature we would be frustrated that it never worked as advertised and would in most cases make things more complicated than before. There are some good features within the software, but none of them are very user friendly. To date we have not been able to sufficiently train any employees to take advantage of the features that pestpac has to offer. Each time we have tried to train someone they get frustrated and can't remember all the steps it takes to complete even the simplest tasks. We recently found another software provider and were able to learn and use all its features within a week. Oh, and they don't charge for any additional features. Also beware of pestpac's contracts, they make things unclear and to keep their customers stuck into contracts for long periods of time.

I like the ability to be completely mobile with no physical paperwork (although we all have those customers that don't have or use email/computers) - the technician mobile app is easy to use.

Pros
Customer support - every time I call the help desk, a specialist is able to provide me assistance and work through my questions. Being a new startup, this support is very important.

Cons
I like the ability to automatically charge the customer's account (ACH/CC) once the service is completed, however the total amount of the charges to use this feature are pretty steep once all the fees are added in. Hopefully a more affordable solution will be forthcoming.

Our Overall experience with WorkWave PestPac has been Very Good.

Pros
Once you have learned the Program, it is Great for any Type of Report you need. Especially now that they Have Introduced their "Business Analytical". The Scheduling is Very Good, You can even Create a Customized Scheduling. Their Recurring Schedule is very dependable, You Never need to worry about it. We have just added PestPac's "Online Scheduling". Where a New Customer can inquiry about a Pests, receive a quote, and Schedule an Initial Service right from our Website. This is Really Nice. WorkWave PestPac isn't the Cheapest, maybe a little pricier, But you get what you Pay for.

Cons
Learning all that the Software has to offer.

Overall PestPac is a good system when you get the hang of it, its user friendly and has different customizations available to you all though on occasions may hit some bumps I would recommend it.

Pros
Easy to use and ability to manage basics needs to manage our company and then some.

Cons
Changes regarding updates, sometimes these affect system or previous actions that were available to us because now they have been removed or changed. Add ons, everything has to be added on with an additional charge and usually per user. It makes a difference in price to where you cant get the full benefits unless your paying way more when other products charge less for very similar or more services.

The guy that tried to help me learn the software was capable and nice enough. However the software is clunky, clicky and dated. After several months and a lot of effert, the software is simply not for me. With a bunch of failures from the software and looking unprofessional infront of several customers,I decided to go with Gorilla Desk. Workwave is continuing to hold me to the contract, that is fine. However the harrassing emails want me to pay the balance of the contract at once and not have access to any records is really unnecessary and rather disappointing.

Pros
Nothin. This software is absolutely terrible. The company does not care about customer satisfaction AT ALL. Use Gorilla Desk, 1/4 the cost and much better software and company.

Cons
Difficult to answer as I did not like anything about it.

Overall it is great software. The change over to WorkWave Payments has been rocky to say the least. Several accounts did not update or Credit Card numbers were lost causing huge delays in our billing and customer dissatisfaction. I feel it is a bit expensive at 4% and I think that should have been made clear upfront.

Pros
Easy to get started on, basic functions are very user friendly.

Cons
It is difficult to figure out and then "remember" how to do out of the norm tasks like run certain reports, add users, adjust settings and identify the different functions available.

Pestpac has been a great value to my company. I am able to access it from my desktop and mobile phone. With the Marathon Mobile app I no longer need to email each technician their route. They can view, update notes, and even upload photos and documents. Saving time and money.

Pros
It's software allows you to file several city and state mandatory reports seamlessly. Track technician activity to the minute and submit reports to customers instantly via email. It has saved me time and energy and provides customers more control of their account that I could have given them prior to using it.

Cons
I wish the community portal had more answers to the questions that are posted. If they did, this would significantly reduce if not eliminate many calls that come through the customer support line.

14 years ago there wasn't a lot of options and it helped when we needed it.

Cons
Functionality, easy of use, extremely high cost of use, horrible customer service when there's an issue which is often. When we tried to get our data to try another software it took months to get the data backup.

I was a pest pac user from 2008 to 2016. Over the years little changed in the way of improvements. It was exciting to have a software that had the ability to invoice customers, compile great reports, schedule customers, track leads, process credit cards, process ACH, track commission, connect third party collections partners, track employees, provide up to date state forms, and had communication elements. All this sounds great and like a 1 stop shop. The only and main issue is most of the features don't function at all or as they should. Scheduling took years, the scheduling aids simply did not work at all. I went to a Pest Pac conference and found many other customers that had the same complaint. Pest Pac lead tracking is a joke. I called to complain and the sales person agreed. He tried to sale me another add on services. The only thing worst than the lead functions are the reports. Pest Pac is very antiquated and hard to master. If you do not put information in exactly right you can make an error that cannot be corrected. The report will probably never work for any customer. You would have to be a full time data entry expert to enter information in a way that did not jack up the reports. Finally, billing is holy hell. The service is too pricey and the add ons are a trap. You have to buy add on to use some of the basic features that apart form the package. Tech support also sucks. I ended service in August and received an email in September that said they were still working on an issue I reported in July. Don't bother with Pest Pac. Every other software provider provides the same features in a simpler way. Avoid Pest Pac at all cause.

Pros
Mature company that was a been in the service industry for a while.

Cons
Slow unresponsive tech support, too expensive, feature do not work or work well. To use basic feature you have to pay for add on services, the billing department sucks. The company does not respect the fact that they support other business and the software is vital to the operation of a business. The system goes down for hours at a time and when they do system updates

Pros
The customer service is great when you speak or communicate with any employee. I've never had an issue with anyone being rude or waste my time. They listen to the issue and try to solve it. The product itself gives you a lot of tools at your disposal, sometimes too many :)

Cons
What bothers me the most about the vendor could be extensive: 1. The time it takes to get in contact with someone that can actually solve your problem. 2. The staffing that you have for PestPac Mobile is horrible, I've come to the conclusion that you basically have one person (the programmer) that can actually solve the "real technical" issues, and when you're out in the field trying to work...and you have an issue...You don't have time to wait. It has cost our company a lot of money and a lot of wasted time. To the point where we have considered canceling our service with you. 3. Also, it appears that at one point in time you had free videos on how to use pestpac for general use. Now there are webinars and seminars that you need to pay for to learn...Really? Everything is attached with a dollar it seems. Or maybe I have not been directed to the appropriate site. 4. One of the biggest bothers it this... We are a small business and it seems as though when we write reviews or participate in the forums online, nothing is considered. You should really hone in on putting a value on your small customers, or you will lose them. That's currently where we stand.

Finally the perfect program

We have been using Pestpac for a couple of years now. Since we have switched, we have saved the monthly cost of using the program in labor costs. We have streamlined our service and can perform more jobs than before in a day. It has made us the most efficient company in the area. The staff is always pleasant to talk with and always returns our calls promptly if they can't help immediately. We would recommend Pestpac to any business.

It has most options and items under one roof offers many functions that you can learn as you need them

Cons
It sends invoices to customers as soon as invoices are released. Customers receive invoices that htey have paid at service time but credit cards post second and are not applied at time of release and emails going out. We get a lot of customers telling us they paid already, why are we getting this email etc. saying we owe?? frustrating!!! their route opt feature is not user friendly and very expensive
