Immensely Powerful Scheduling Tool, Amazing Support, User and Non-Profit Budget Friendly!

My experience with VSP, MSP, and Rotunda Software in general has been the gold standard to which I hold other software companies, at this point. The support team is absolutely amazing, and they take every issue I bring to them as a priority. When something is working as it's intended, they take my suggestions and "real world examples" into account as feature requests (and actually follow through with changes). They continue to improve their software without sacrificing the quality of the existing system - so the development/QA is also very evident. I've been VERY impressed with the direction the company continues to move towards - consistent improvement, consistent quality, amazing service, and a culture of genuine hospitality.

Pros

VSP was the perfect solution for scheduling our Perpetual Adoration Chapel. We needed a way to schedule 2-3 volunteers times 24 hours a day times 7 days a week AND give them easy access to requesting substitutes. Setting up VSP took less than a week and explaining to new volunteers how to use the system is easy. We can easily measure the success of the system now by seeing that all of our time slots are filled, quickly generate custom reports to see when, where, and why we have gaps, and then easily communicate with all or a few of our volunteers as needed (text or email).

Cons

Because we are scheduling each hour of each day, the full schedule display on the mobile app is incredibly difficult to scroll through. I would love to see a tiered calendar type approach to this screen similar to what shows on the web view. Also, the process of selecting the days which you're available by deselecting the days has been a little confusing to some of our volunteers (especially the Spanish speakers) - I'm not sure what the best solution for this is.

I have scheduled many volunteers over the years for many opportunities. It has made my life so much easier!

Pros

Everything! I have l used this software for over 10 years. Two different non profits.

Cons

Any problems I’ve had have been resolved right away!

It's a great product at a reasonable price, with highly responsive support system.

Pros

Product is easy to use for administrators and users, transition from old system was smooth. The automated reminders are a critical time saver for administrators.

Cons

Occasional glitches, e.g., the "enrollment" message had been reverting from customized message to generic message, which caused significant time wasted in informing new volunteers of the process.

Making my life easier!

Pretty sure we're gonna be best friends by the same this event actually happens, between tutorials, prompts, daily email updates and being able to call and actually have someone explain something quickly I'm already so much more at ease with this new position I've taken on and the tools VSP has to help me to a great job

Pros

Not a tech savvy person but [sensitive content hidden] just helped so much. Only been using this a few days and still orienting myself around all the features. Already there have been things I would've thought of down the road i was prompted about and I'm so grateful. The templates and prompts have been wonderful

Cons

only issues thus far have been user error, i look forward to getting more comfortable with this and then i may have further input
