L-mobile production is a modular Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that digitalizes, automates, and networks production processes end to end. Both systems collect the relevant production data—from quantities and run times to setup and downtimes and reasons for malfunctions. The data is automatically reported back to the connected ERP system, resulting in maximum transparency and a sound database for reliable decision-making.

For production environments with a high degree of variety or complex assembly processes, the web-based production data collection solution can be gradually extended to become a digital worker assistance system: L-mobile WAS. The WAS guides employees through the assembly process in a structured manner—using clear step-by-step instructions, digital display of 3D models, photos, or videos, Pick by Light technology, and integrated quality and machine data collection. This significantly reduces error rates and knowledge is mapped centrally in the system, independently of individual specialists.

Another central module is L-mobile APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling), the solution for automated production planning. Data from the ERP system (such as orders, work plans, and dependencies) is linked to planning-related parameters, such as machine and personnel capacity. On this basis, an AI-powered optimization algorithm creates a feasible, cost-optimized, and on-time production plan. Adjustments can be made flexibly at any time, either manually via drag and drop or automatically through re-optimization. This ensures optimal capacity utilization, early detection of bottlenecks, and reliable on-time delivery.

Additional Industry 4.0 technologies can be integrated in a modular way via the L-mobile Industry platform. These include, for example, E-Label and E-Kanban solutions, Pick by Light systems, tracking technologies such as UWB, RFID, or GPS, automated guided vehicle systems, forklift guidance systems, warehouse lifts, production reporting, and a digital warehouse management system. All components can be easily integrated via standardized interfaces and fit seamlessly into existing production and IT landscapes.
