It is a tough call because the product is good.  We migrated from Yardi and don't regret it BUT if I knew how weak the support team and the nightmare that we would have (for 7 months we couldn't reconcile bank accounts and the "boarding team" simply vanished) I would most likely have stayed with Yardi.

I have been using it since 3 December 2018 and have been happy with it.  At my last three employers I had Yardi as the property management software so there was a little learning curve but it was easier to learn than Yardi was when I first started it.

Newbie

From the beginning it was easy to migrate our data, and we never looked back.  It is so awesome for our boss to be out in the field, call us to ask a question - then say never mind "It is all right here on AppFolio" on his phone or tablet.   Easy to find just what you are looking for and the Support/Help system is the best I have ever experienced in a software.  On line CHAT is a lifesaver.

Overall, I would never want to go back to Yardi, AMSI, RentRoll, or any other software.

Appfolio for Property Managers - great software

I use AppFolio every day at work. I use it to mange all types of information for my residents. I also use it to collect money and to pay bills. I use AppFolio for all aspects of property management.

I Love Appfolio

Less than favorable.  In the past nine months, I have had multiple situations where my business was being impacted due to no support.  In some cases, tickets were unanswered for three weeks!  AppFolio needs to resolve its issues with customer support and have a phone number for customers to call if the issue impacts their business.

It has streamlined and automated a lot of the processes that Yardi could never do.  And the customer support is incredible.

Excellent Property Management Software, but there is a learning curve

A must for property managment

Overall experience is fantastic. We were using Yardi prior to this and the upgrade is better. We now have the ability to give access to all of our employees at whatever "level" we choose rather than Yardi only allowing access to a few individuals and everyone having to go them for a tenants phone number or any other needed information.

Appfolio Software Review

I've used several Property Management software in the past, mostly Yardi, and Appfolio is my favorite by far.  The ease of use is fantastic.  It works great for those who are not so tech savvy as well of those who have advanced skills.  So far there hasn't been any "glitches"  or shut downs to deal with.  With Yardi, those happened often.  I definitely give Appfolio 5 stars!

I love it! I prefer it over Yardi! It can be used as an accounting program, property mgr program, marketing program, affordable housing certification/ recertification. Communication with residents and leads. 

It’s Effective and Efficient 

So far it has been great. The software is easy to use and Appfolio is constantly updating and adding new and exciting features.

User Friendly

AppFolio was a life saver after an anguishing experience with Yardi's Cloud-based software and Rent Café.   AppFolio' s customer support is incredible, as well as the online help menu and video tutorials.  You can submit a question electronically and AppFolio will respond within hours, even though they give themselves 24 hours.  Yardi on the other hand....I'm still waiting for calls back from June and July (I still have full access to our Yardi account and the problems have never been fixed, and I'm not longer asking)  Yardi claims to be a robust accounting program....which is maybe but it is so impossible to move around it, and takes up so much time because it is SLOW.  AppFolio is lightening quick and so easy to use, my managers took to it immediately, they are so thrilled with AppFolio and were in tears with Yardi.   AppFolio's Dashboard can be somewhat customized to see your business at a glance, tenants are able to able to pay online with ease.   AppFolio made everything very user-friendly

I have been in commercial real estate for several years.  I have used AppFolio for 7 months and love the software.  I have also worked with Yardi and MRI.  AppFolio is a great product. 

Making property management better!

Appfolio makes it easy to keep track of all my properties, see all the details in one place, and i can filter out what I don't need to see regularly. I like that. 

Appfoliio is a game changer

When I first started with my current property, they were using Yardi and it was entirely too cumbersome to navigate. We switched to Appfolio due to my previous experience with Appfolio at my last property.  So happy we made the change.  It has made my job so much easier!

Great property management software for smaller properties

I am not sure I would love it as much if  I did not use the competition first, which gave real perspective on what the rest of the industry was offering.  Appfolio was not just a little better, it was a totally better experience from start to finish.

I love the simplicity that Yardi Voyager offers to maneuver from resident profiles and reporting functions. I would definitly recommend Yardi as the top system for any property manager.

Overall, the basic yardi is not bad but outdated. If you can afford it, I suggest using the updated version. You get what you pay for. On the property management level, you are able to access financials quickly. Which really comes in handy when the property owners have questions.
