Bookkeeper

A few things that I found out along the way would have been good to know from the start, but overall I've had such fantastic support from really lovely people that I have enjoyed speaking with.

Operations Manager

For general users I would like them to see only l what they have sent.

Ignition automates proposals, billing, payments and workflows in a single AI-powered platform, empowering service-based businesses to sell, bill and get paid faster.

Administrative Specialist

They only gave (I believe) a 1 week free trial before asking you to sign up/pay with them, which is not long enough to determine if the software will work for you.

Managing Partner

Billed me for an annual subscription that had been closed for 6 months at the same time they billed me for a monthly subscription. When pressed about getting my money back I was met with total incompetence.

Practice Manager

Ignition has made the onboarding of our new clients much easier.

Technology Partner

Cost gets non-competitive after the add-ons. Without the add-on features the program lacks features included worh other packages

It made the whole experience feel more professional and efficient.

We can send proposals for project bookkeeping and tax, monthly subscription bookkeeping, one offs for tax or specialty requests.

The biggest pro for us is the automatic billing once a customer has signed and the fact that most customers do not ask about direct debiting they simply provide details and sign.

Owner and Operator

I find it quite expensive and editing or undoing transactions is quite difficult.

Onboarding process is very thorough, and their support team is extremely helpful.

Director

Pricing makes it unrealistic for small businesses.

It’s very difficult to link an existing stripe account.

The inability to add pricing variations dependent on different metrics per service line.

Founder

The switch from the old or original proposals to the new ones was a bit rocky, I wish this could have been done more on the back end with less complications for us users.

Accountant

the time it takes money and distribute from banking of a client as opposed to credit card.

I have another payment via credit card that was pushed back an additional day and we're on day 7 and I have yet to receive it. If you are tight on managing cash, ask the customer to mail you a check or use QuickBooks for the invoice, you will get your money much faster.

Ignition has been great for selling to clients, getting paid, and managing my sales funnel.

Control System Integrator

It's functionality to help in billing and proposals is pretty smooth and adaptive.

Partner

Ability to setup up to 3 proposals and clients chooses the one they want.

Client Manager

This is sometimes confusing to the clients as some of the default wording refers often to Proposal in comms.

The default (un-editable) wording on client facing documents.

Managing Member

Having my engagement letters stored in one area rather than sending them via PDF, getting the e-signature back and having to save the file on the shared drive saves me many hours.

This means that it is not always possible to reword a message that a particular client would find too informal.

Ignition is a great way to present your services, an easy way to get paid, and an efficient way to management your income.

President

How easy it was to create a new proposal.

Firm Manager

The credit card fee was the only initial drawback.

Owner

Payments - and how it eliminates steps for my business

Ignition makes it very easy to jump right in and start using the product with their templates.

It also allows me to send each client a proposal and keep track of there response.

Having proposals and billing all in one place.

From quotes to contracts to payment and more.

Client sees 'Company X has sent you a proposal'. As Ignition can be used for more than just proposals (i.e. BAS authorities), it would be good to change this message.

Virtual Office Assistant

Coming from a different field, and needing to learn how to manage proposals/invoicing/payment collection quickly, Ignition has been incredible.

Ignition helps with cashflow management with payment options built into the proposal.

The customer names don't integrate well with ProConnect and double your customers, which can be quite annoying.

Manager

Business Owner

I love the ability to send a professional proposal and have the prospect sign up for services without having to reconnect.

I really appreciate how I can utilize the different updates and changes they make to the platform, but I don't have to take courses to understand how to use Ignition!

Makes managing credit control easy with the integrated payment feature meaning that new clients sign up for Direct Debit as they sign up as a client.

The engagement letter could be improved upon. When you alter their version, the font appears different.

We have not yet integrated any other products.

I am automating all of my billing for maintenance work for existing clients.

You also can't edit an invoice after it is issued from Ignition.

I can also see when they have opened and viewed the proposal. Once the prospect signs it initiates a work item in Karbon.

Ignition sends helpful emails like credit card expirations and payment failures!

In my opinion, this is excessive for an ACH payment and makes me concerned about their ability to manage cash.

customer support is bad - you can only chat with someone - and most things are escalated to the next level of support but it can take several days days/weeks to get things resoved.

I was attracted to Taxdome's features like anyone else would be when looking at it from almost two years ago. Once I was a customer of theirs though and could see the effort they put into answering their customers on Facebook and communicating when something is broken, getting community feedback and votes to decide the next project, and using open community testers for new features.

Trusted by 15,000+ tax, bookkeeping, and accounting firms, TaxDome is the #1-rated practice management platform for CPAs and EAs — combining workflow automation, CRM, document management, client portal, and billing in one connected hub.
