Customer support really sucks, but even worse is that they have no sales deparment. If you go looking for any consultant or MSP on Google, there is none, and no PPC ads that link to anyone that supports MSP360.

Founder

We have tried countless back up utilities and this one is not only one of the more straight forward to use but anytime we have issues support is great with helping us out, I recommend it to other MSP's as a real option for replacing similar products.

Director

Support is awesome with very quick response times, especially during my trial period which was really helpful.

Sr Systems Administrator

Its ability to integrate with multiple cloud providers and support a range of backup types makes it well-suited for small to mid-sized businesses and IT-managed environments.

Setup has many options, several actions need an elevated/admin CLI, and some behavior (exclusion masks, retention formats) is under-documented — I had to experiment.

Restores are granular (single file, any point in time) and there's a full CLI for automation.

Able to use third party storage providers which guarantees the implementation of a hybrid setup.

Capability and value are top-tier — the learning curve and doc gaps keep it at a 4 rather than 5.

Error messages and logging are sometimes unclear, making troubleshooting more difficult.

Deployment is straightforward once the architecture is understood, and the encryption and security options are strong.

Great features, for backup otions great price, great backup cloud options.

However, the experience is somewhat impacted by occasional complexity during setup.

Reliable and consistent backups with good scheduling and retention policies.

MSP360 Backup is dependable, easy to use, and reliable—why I trust it for protecting my data daily!.

Not sure, have not encountered anything. But if i have to think about something it probably would be that it has no additional web interface.

Encryption support (in-transit and at-rest).

The granular restore options and image-based backup are also strong points.

Strongly recommend for technically comfortable users; less so if you want one-click simplicity.

Support level One

It supports advanced features like block-level backup, AES-256 encryption, and granular file versioning, providing strong data protection. Despite its steep learning curve during initial deployment and somewhat limited reporting capabilities, the software excels in scalability and efficiency.

Overall, MSP360 Managed Backup delivers a technically robust solution with extensive multi-platform compatibility and flexible cloud storage integration.

License pricing increase with no additional benefit, the account rep never responded to any of my follow ups about price matching prior to my legacy file backup license being done away with.

Lead IT Administrator

All the offered features like backup, schedule, manageability, encryption, data restoration etc.

The interface can feel outdated and overwhelming for new users.

MSP Cybersecurity

They do a good job of keeping up to date with the technological needs for MSPs.

Network and Systems Engineer

MSP360 Free Backup has all the reliability of its paid counterparts and it's a great introduction to the MSP360 backup ecosystem.

Need to setup your own backup storage first.

Seemed like it took quite a bit of time to restore from a backup.

Overall, I think this a fairly good product with its easy to use interface and options for different types of backups.

IT Manager

The web-based centralized management of your backups is very easy and you don't have to worry about building / upgrading a server to run central management of your backups.

Senior Engineer lvl three

The main drawback I found was that restorations could sometimes be sluggish, particularly when dealing with large amounts of data.

when in need of for the support there are too many KBs shared through email to go through and perform the investigation by our own.

Overall, it provides backups, and I can restore from the flies in the incremental or full backups.

The free version is just enough to be useful and works great for parents/grandparents/in-laws whoever you are supporting that you'd like to keep their data safe.

Flexibility and ability to use own storage platform such as Backblaze

One of the few providers that support connecting to third-party storage providers like BackBlaze B2, Amazon S3, MS Azure, Drive E2, etc.

Compatible with various cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Systems Administrator

The pricing is more than fair, and gives you a lot of choice between different storage platforms.

In please of that I would suggest MSP 360 to give a call back as soon as possible to the customer to provide the appropriate solution.

COO Online Service Director

No local storage immutable backups options.

Error messages if unimportant files are missed out.

System Engineer

It's very easy to setup and i love being able to send the data to our S3 data locations customized by us.

Restoring files is miserable, constant failures on backups.

It's been a consistent performer in my experience, handling the crucial task of data backup with minimal hassle.

Service Manager

Overall has been huge success to our business.

It's a solid, dependable solution that strikes a good balance between functionality and user-friendliness.

Manager, Information Technology

MSP360 Managed Backup exceeds our expectations.

I would not recommend for BareMetal restores but again there are ways around that.

Very NiceAlso they have multiple forms of backups, local, cloud, file, image, all of them I implement.

I made a list of instructions when I first did it so now I breeze through.

Grand Guru

For example, I have a couple of programs (including Macrium) that occasionally lose their key settings files on one of my computers. If I can't restore in a simpler way, I can restore the last good copy from a backup with a minimum of fuss, seeing & even opening the file(s) in question before restore.

System Support Manager

The ability to make bootable rescue media to repair or re-image failing PCs has empowered our technicians to get way more issues fixed with fewer trips.

General Manager

It has always been a rock solid backup utility, I use it for all our PC's either through Reflect Workstation or via Macrium Site Manager for remote recovery. If a PC is trashed or a new HD installed then the Rescue media on a USB stick can always do the job.
