Be careful when dealing with the sales people with this company.

Complex and frustrating billing

I was very frustrated with this situation, but went ahead and let them draft the next 6 months of payments on my credit card which they have on file (Bad mistake to give them credit card authorization).    When they continued charging my charge card in August, September and beyond,  I called again to stop this.

I also want to mention the updates  the data connection is limited, and with weekly updates this often causes incorrect hour calculations for drivers. When it comes to hours, this is a real issue, especially because Samsara is considered one of the best ELD devices in the USA, and my company uses it mainly because the logs cannot be edited. Because of that, Samsara should improve its services and make things easier for drivers, not force them to do “math problems” just to guess how many hours they will have. And with constant updates, there’s always a risk that the logbook won’t work the way it should.

I don't like the battery life on the AG-51 asset tracker when it comes to unpowered fleet assets that are on the road for extended periods of time as the batteries would die and would cause us to lose tracking on assets until batteries could be replaced.

The video system is also a big plus because it helps clear up incidents quickly and provides protection for both the company and the driver if something happens on the road.  

We were even able to provide our video to prove not guilty in a car accident.   Because we were able to show video facing in and out that showed we were not following too closely, were not on a phone or distracted it proved not our fault.

Since one of our primary functions with our operation is to enforce parking, our fleet and our large number of Enforcement Officers are vital to a successful operation.
