I have used Payoneer and PayPal but I would rate PayPal 8/10 and Payoneer 7/10.

My experience with PayPal has been short-lived, full of restrictions, and loaded with limited functionality! Too bad!

Limited functionality

As a buyer, their resolution centre is superb. I use PayPal as frequently as I can to make purchases. As a seller and business owner, it is a very negative environment and platform. I would recommend founders make a switch to Stripe, Payoneer, or TransferWise.

This was actually the second time around that I set up my account because I had issues with the first one. I couldn't log in because my account was locked for no reason, and I couldn't use the same email too. After I set up my second account, I had to go through a verification process that took a week or two as well. If you don't have patience, the Payoneer is not for you. I've been having doubts regarding Payoneer because I hear they hold funds out of nowhere and then take too long to respond- or not at all.If it's between Paypal and Payoneer, I'd definitely choose Paypal. 

SLOW Customer Support and Transfer Time + High Transfer Cost

Payoneer is really cool, what attracted me first was my ability to withdraw directly to my bank account, it became my Paypal alternative, since Paypal has some restrictions on my country (Nigeria). 

I have gone ahead to even refer other online freelancers to use Payoneer.

In Nepal PayPal has the send-only option, we cannot accept PayPal funds in Nepal due to the monetary policy of Nepal Rastra Bank. In that situation, Payoneer gives us the solution to accept payment from our clients and helps us to globalize our eCommerce business.

Overall Payoneer is easy to use and offers the features that PayPal and others prevent for people living outside the US. It is a bit expensive but gets the job done.
