Great looking e-commerce store.
Shopify makes it easy to set up an online store, include shipping, item details etc. It's all built in a ready for you to fill in the blanks. They have templates you can customise to make it look professional and clean,
Because it's a template system, you can tell if you're looking for that but no one really cares these days.

Grew my e-commerce business.
The user interface is great. Very easy to use and pick up. Everything is ordered well and easily accessible. I find the search bar incredibly useful as well whenever I want to quickly navigate to a specific setting. The customer support is incredible. Whenever I come across a problem I contact Shopify support through chat and they are very responsive and extremely pleasant.
The only downside to an extremely useful tool is the transaction fees. Each transaction there is a 2 percent transaction fee that is charged to the account.

Set up my E-commerce site in 30min including domain and catalogue. Would use Shopify for future e-commerce ventures.
Very very simple to use, easy to set up with guides & support from Shopify team, seamless experience. Highly recommend Shopify if you want to set up a fuss free ecommerce site.
Price is mid-tier but for the functions and features it's a good deal for USD/Euros based businesses.

A great option for E-commerce
Shopify is not a cheap solution for e-commerce but I always like to use the best solutions. What I like the most about Shopify is that there are no limitations for a number of products and categories. Shopify is one of the most simple and easy to use platforms I've worked with.
I had a little trouble linking Shopify to an existing Amazon listing and could not find someone that could help with this.

Overall this is a good option for businesses looking to expand their e-commerce. However more suited for companies with less e-commerce.
Easy set up and interface for new users. Offers customization, as well as marketing options.
Software does not have a free version, and costs can add up rather quickly.

Your only choice in e-commerce software!
Shopify is a crazy good product for e-commerce stores. It is super simple to sign up and start selling. The app marketplace (I think that's what it is called) has an incredible amount of add on's that can enhance your store. Out of the box though, Shopify provides everything to get started. I compare Shopify to Wordpress, it's in the same realm, although different markets. If you are thinking about starting an e-commerce site, Shopify is where you should start!
It's truly a great product and therefore finding a con is pretty hard. I would say the marketplace to sell your store (can't remember the name) could be improved. Because of the way it is setup, you end up with a ton of generic replies and it becomes a waste of time responding to them all. However, this is such a small part of the overall experience that it's not a big deal.

I have closed my shop after 6-7 months as I was not so successful with marketing and selling my products. But if i start over again with a new product I will definitely choose Shopify over any other platforms.
It is an all in one solution for drop shippers. Setting up your website s is extremely easy and they also have professional templates that can be customised to match your need. Shopify has a 14 day trial that lets you set up your shop and try our various products before you go live with their subscription. Although they charge monthly but it is easily justified with all the amazing features they offer. Shopify also supports amazing apps like Oberlo and Mailchimp etc for maintaining inventory, cart recovery, mass mailers and customer support .
No complaints at all. Shopify is one of the best E-commerce platforms

Overall a good option for just a pretty simple e-commerce store.
Good for making an e-commerce store, there a many options in the e-commerce category and you don't have to think so much about security.
It is not open source like WordPress, so there is not the same amount of options in terms of payment gateways and other things.

For e-commerce, I wouldn't recommend anything else.
There really isn't any other option for creating your e-commerce store that's better than shopify. Tons of templates, add-ons and features to make selling products online feel like you can compete with the biggest brands.
Overall my experience was positive, but a con would be that it takes a lot of work and effort to get your store at the optimal level you'd like it to be. Lots of customizing, tweaking, finding the right add-ons and apps can be daunting, but they exist and you just need to find the right ones.

Magento is great but there are better e-commerce platforms out there, one of them being Shopify. Shopify is definitely much more intuitive and user friendly.
Magento was easy to use and I was able to get an ecommerce store setup quickly. Definitely meant for small-medium businesses. Allows you to fully customize your store and truly give your store a unique look.
Non-technical users may have a hard time using the platform and require assistant from a programmer; especially if you require additional functionality that any plugins cannot provide.

Magento is Best in case you have a huge structural website like having Multistore - Multi language - Multi Currency but at other end you must have good fund to maintain that. Alternative is Shopify which is easy to use but when you need functionality in shopify its all Compromise.
- Open Source and Free - Best Community Support - Latest Version updates - Multistore - Multi language - Multi Currency and many more feature which can only Achieve by custom costly development - Best Payment Gateways inbuilt like Paypal, Brain tree, Kalrna etc Best Available Ecommerece Solution in the Market
- Speed of magento is horrible - Theme is Expensive - Extension are expensive - Developers are Expensive - Complicated Structure

We used to use magento but recently changed shopping carts, our biggest issue with Magento was the time required to do minor changes.
Very good for large stores that want complete customization but if you're smaller and don't want to hire a developer and have to wait weeks for minor updates it may not be for you.
There is not customer support just community support, you will also need a developer to handle most customizations. It is not user friendly like Shopify.

Am surprised that Magento sort of ranks below Joomla, drupal and shopify in current market shares but I would definitely be comfortable with only relying on Magento
Magento has been around a long time and has many stable patches released, community of forums and help along with long list of extensions/plugins. Magento structure is nice for keeping up and learning MVC. The free community edition is already enough to run full fledge e-commerce site as well as given the option to do multi-stores in the same account. As a developer i did not want a out of the block low-coding to start off with (wordpress/shopify) so its a great tool to keep up with.
Magento initially always tends to be pretty slow. The admin procedures such as exports, updating, backup, etc all seem a little unstable at times. Understanding your current state and limit of scalability(before improving it some other way) always seems questionable or hard to gauge at first.

I used it once, the UX was so bad and I was so frustrated. I wanted to update Magento to a newer version, but was not able to do so. I just asked my customer to move to Shopify.
Everybody says that Magento has a lot of functionalities and that, if you have a really big catalog of products, Magento is for you. I am not sure why WooCommerce or Shopify wouldn't be good for a very big catalog, though. In my case, I used Magento only once and its admin panel had such a bad UX, that I just asked my customer to switch to Shopify.
The worst control panel UX I ever saw in a CMS. Probably the version my customer had installed was not the newest, however it should be not older than 2-3 years old, and the UX looked like websites in the 90s!! I think the UX of your control panel can really make potential users leave if it is not excellent.

The Adobe Commerce platform is definitely for stores that are more established and have a web developer either on staff or at their disposal to make the necessary changes and upgrades. While I'd say it's more complex than Shopify in that instance, there is a lot more functionality out of the box, whereas Shopify is very App heavy to get a certain functionality to work on your store.
If you do not have a developer at your disposal, working with this platform is probably going to be a bit of a struggle. I'd consider myself a rung above beginner within HTML/Website related things and I have to rely on our developer for things for sure.

Magento solves your eCommerce solutions even if you have an online business which requires scaling. Magento helps you to be hosted by eCommerce solutions like Volusion and Shopify that gives the flexibility you need.
Are you looking for a solution in eCommerce? Magento provides you the solution of eCommerce. Magento makes your investments very worthwhile even if it is your main business. It has been recommended as one of the best solutions to eCommerce since it is flexible and scalable. It has also become so much popular for the fact many companies bear its name. Pros - 1. It is user-friendly. Magento’s administration...
Cons- 1. Only the community version of Magento is cheap. The other versions of Magento including support and enterprise and the premium enterprise versions aren’t freely available. Their prices are very high for every person to afford. 2. Magento can only be hosted on dedicated servers. Since it is large, it can’t be hosted in small servers that aren’t dedicated because it needs to be configured. 3. It requires a lot of time to customize using magneto. The architecture who have designed it have made it complicated and hence it takes a lot of time to learn the learning curve and make customizations as compared to other eCommerce solutions.

Solid and stable.
Lots of features, and plugins to extend the feature set. This has all the features you will likely need to launch a successful ecommerce store.
Compared to other solutions this requires a lot of hosting hardware to work, and more specialised IT skills to maintain. If you're hosting a mid to small project, then look for Shopify or woocommerce.

If you are planning to start your small e-commerce business you have couple of options like Magento and Shopify. Great advantage of Magenta is it being self-hosted service, meaning you have full control over your store and it fully belongs to you. You can not have this flexibility with Shopify and if they do. Kt want to do business with you, your store is gone - deleted. With Magento you will not loose your store website if something goes wrong.
Having self-hosted service comes with maintaining work, also knos-how. There is a detailed online instructions and user forums, but when you are srtuck with small details, you are on your own. You need to know javascript and html to be able to start doing major work. In comparison to Shopify, this maintenance work is done by them, so you can focus on your sales.
